A new month means new beauty launches and I’m here for it. From luxurious skincare that promises to have the latest intelligent ingredients to revive skin, to sophisticated makeup, there’s always plenty to look forward to in the world of beauty. I personally look forward to seeing what brands are bringing us each month and I know, if you’re a beauty lover like me, you probably do too! I’ve selected 10 of my favorite beauty launches this month to discuss and tell you why I look forward to these launches, what I like about the products, and more!
Most of the products I mention in this blog post are already available by the time you’re reading this. However, I like to gather all my favorite beauty launches from the past month so we can chat about our favorite products in the comments. So don’t hesitate to leave a comment, to begin with, your favorite beauty launch, a favorite product, or mention a launch I didn’t sum up in this post. Let’s chat about beauty in the comments, but first, let me show you my 10 favorite beauty launches in July 2020.
2. Kylie Skin Board Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen
I’m not gonna lie, I hate face sunscreen from the bottom of my heart. But I know how important it is to wear it every day. So for me, it’s super important to find face sunscreen that is non-greasy and non-sticky. This Kylie Skin Face Sunscreen is SPF 40, colorless, fragrance-free, and supposed to hydrate without a greasy feeling. Sounds like something I wouldn’t mind to wear. I can’t wait to actually try this one!
3. Pat McGrath The Dark Star Mascara
I never leave the house without mascara so I always love to see new mascara launches. This Pat McGrath The Dark Star Mascara caught my attention because the wand actually looks a lot like the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara which I really like. I have to admit that I probably only try this in the future once it goes on sale lol. It’s supposed to give intense volume, lift, and gives length to your lashes, with maximum impact. I can’t wait to try it!
4. Pur Cosmetics x RawBeautyKristi DOUBLE-SIDED PRESSED PIGMENT PALETTE
If you haven’t watched beauty YoutuberRawBeautyKristi just yet, I would really recommend doing so! One of the beauty launches this month, was the collaboration between PÜR Cosmetics and Kristi. I’m so excited for Kristi, she deserves this! The palette is basically the star in this little collection. It’s a dual-sided palette, one side has bright colors and the other side more neutral colors. I really like this idea! I wanted to buy this just to support Kristi but I, later on, backed off because I’m not super obsessed with the palette and I didn’t want to steal the palette away from someone who really wanted this palette. Plus it’s better for my spending as well lol.
5. BECCA Cosmetics No Pigment Virtual Foundation
This BECCA Cosmetics No Pigment Virtual Foundation really had me questioning lots of things. How is something transparent looking called a foundation? It’s it going to adjust it’s color to the skin? How does this work? So I was actually very excited to try this. However, I recently watched Kathleen Light’s video and she didn’t notice much of a difference. In the end, this called foundation is actually a primer. I’ll be watching & reading more reviews before I decide whether I want to try this myself or not, but so far the marketing credits for the name go to BECCA.
6. Fenty Skin
Do I need to say more? Fenty Skin got announced! Besides Fenty Beauty cosmetics, Rihanna is now coming for our skin with her Fenty Skin skincare line! The first products that are launching are Total Cleanser, Fat Water Toner, and Day Cream with SPF. For me, this is one of the most exciting beauty launches this month! I can’t wait to try their products. I already love the sleek, purple packaging!
7. Juvia’s Place The Nude Velvety Matte Lipstick
Juvia’s Place came out with The Nude Collection and a part of this collection is 12 The Nude Velvety Matte Lipsticks. For some reason, the packaging as well as the colors grabbed me. Could be because nudes in pink packaging, I love to see that lol. The lipsticks are described as “hydrating velvety matte lipstick provides a highly pigmented creamy and smooth long wear. A soft-matte formula infused with hyaluronic acid” and this sounds very nice as well so I definitely want to try a couple of them.
8. Dose of Colors The Smokey Soirée & Cutting Edge Eyeshadow Palettes
I really love the Dose of Colors eyeshadow formula (see my Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette Review) and these small palettes are amazing in my opinion. Normally, all the shadows are matte but this time, Dose of Colors decided to add some metallics! I’m excited because it makes the palette a little bit more special and oh my, I love the look of both these palettes. I can’t wait to add them to my collection in the future!
9. Colourpop Wild Nothing Collection
I think I fell in love with that palette the moment I saw it! Colourpop came out with a Wild Nothing Collection, which included an eyeshadow palette, 3 blushes, 4 créme shadows, 2 Jelly Much shadows, and 5 Lux Lip Oils. I wanted to buy the palette and all 4 créme shadows but I was a little late to the launch and was only able to get the palette and 2 créme shadows. I also decided last minute to snatch a Lux Lip Oil. You can expect a review coming soon on this collection!
10. Huda Beauty N.Y.M.P.H. All Over Highlighting Powder
This highlighter is definitely pricey ($62) but oh so beautiful! Huda Beauty came out with anAll Over Highlighting Powder and it looks absolutely stunning with the rose imprint! This highlighter is supposed to have an innovative formula with lustrous pearls that provide a rich, satin-like sheen with extreme blendability and flawless wear. You can easily sweep it on for a soft glow or build it up for mega highlight for face, eyes, and body. The shade is supposed to be a universally flattering warm-bronze shade that looks beautiful on all skin tones. Sounds good! I’m waiting for a sale though because, even though this highlighter is pretty big, I can’t spend that much money a ‘just’ a highlighter.
