Alpha-H Liquid Gold Review
My skin type is dry to normal but is a bit sensitive and (extra) dry in the winter. I have used the Alpha-H Liquid Gold Exfoliating Treatment with Glycolic Acid for four weeks, three times per week.
In the first week of using Alpha H Liquid Gold, I noticed a somewhat small reaction in my skin – at least, I assume it was a reaction, but it could be a coincidence, too – because my skin felt a bit tight and extra dry. To help soothe this, I used the Currentbody Hyaluronic Acid serum, and the rhode barrier restore cream after application (when my skin was touch dry, as recommended).
After the first week, this reaction went away – I kept using the same two products afterward, though, as it seemed like my skin reacted the best this way. I just wanted to mention this for my fellow dry-skin and/or sensitive-skin peeps.
You may not experience the same or any reaction, but know that your skin may feel slightly more dry in the first few days.
Formula
After this first week, I was afraid that the Alpha H Liquid Gold might not be the right product for my skin type, but I didn’t want to give up that easily, and I’m glad I didn’t.
It seemed like my skin had to get used to it because, after the first week, I had no reaction anymore whatsoever and didn’t notice any tingly feeling; the tightness went away. It almost became a product where you would say, “it doesn’t work because I don’t feel anything.” But the results didn’t lie!
Application
The Alpha H Liquid Gold formula is liquid, so it’s easy to apply to a cotton pad and sweep onto the skin. I never experienced problems with the application, the bottle, or anything else. It was an easy, straightforward process. I didn’t even notice the tingly sensation at all.
Results
The first week consisted of getting used to the exfoliator. In the second week, I wasn’t seeing much of a difference, but then… in the third week, I saw a change!
My pores around my nose were less visible, or almost not visible at all, actually. My skin also looked plump, healthy, and more even. The luminous finish I used to see directly after I applied the Liquid Gold now stayed all the time. The overall appearance of my skin looked better, less dull, and brighter.
As you may know, I struggle with milia around my eyes a lot, and I have facials now and then to get rid of them. After using the Currentbody LED Eye Mask, I noticed that they went away a bit, and then I started using the Alpha-H Liquid Gold, which seems to keep the milia at bay. I barely have any milia when I used to have a lot. I think the exfoliating, hydrating, and congestion-reducing properties are super beneficial!
I have to admit that I didn’t see much difference in my fine lines, especially the smile lines, which still look the same to me. But as they’re pretty deep, I may need to use the Alpha-H Liquid Gold longer to see a difference.
Final Verdict
The Alpha-H Liquid Gold exfoliator is the perfect addition to your skincare routine because it will work for many skin types and also many different ages. On top of that, it really works – I saw a difference in my pores, the evenness of my skin, and the overall look that is now a plumped yet luminous-looking skin.
I also like that this product does work that you ‘won’t see,’ such as stimulating collagen production and strengthening the skin’s barrier. It is also nice to know that it helps clean pollution build-up in this world and our environment.
It’s an easy-to-use, just three-times-a-week product that will last you a long time – which makes the Alpha-H Liquid Gold costs worth it to me, on top of the results I saw, obviously – and will provide you with results; great-looking skin!

I think my heart broke a little when I read: mature skin: 25+, when did I get so old?! Haha. These sound like such lovely products, and it’s good to know that it does dry your skin out a little at first, but it’s worth sticking with. As I know that I’d notice my skin getting drier and stop using, as my skin does not need any more encouragement to be dry xx
