I’m a sucker for neutral palettes and Anastasia Beverly Hills totally got me when they revealed the Soft Glam Palette. The palette contains a couple of gorgeous neutral but mostly warm shades to create a perfect soft glam look. But how’s the quality of this palette? Is it as pretty on the eyes as it looks in the pan? I tested this for you!

I love the velvety packaging of the Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes, it does get dirty quickly but it feels so luxurious! Besides this one, I also love the Norvina Palette packaging color, which is a gorgeous purple. Even though the packaging isn’t that important, you pretty much have me for 50% if I think the packaging is pretty, not going to lie haha!

The most important aspect of the eyeshadow palette is, obviously, the eyeshadow formula and that’s what I’ve put to the test for you! Curious to see what my thoughts are? Let’s dive into the review together!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

The Soft Glam Palette contains 14 shades, including 9 essential mattes and 5 glamorous shimmers, a mirror, and a brush and retails for $45. The palette can be used for soft daily makeup or glam evening wear.

Some of these colors might be familiar to you because at least 3 shades are also in the Modern Renaissance Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It’s not that bad, because if you already own that palette but are still interested in the Soft Glam Palette, it means you’ll still get 11 new shades.

The Soft Glam palette has a little sister now too, the Soft Glam II Mini Palette which is a smaller version, with just 8 shades for $29.

Anastasia Beverly Hills is a cruelty-free brand so that means this palette is too.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Swatches

To create swatches like this, with the name in it, I use swatch stencils from Swatch Perfect. This is not affiliated or sponsored, I just truly love their stencils!

The matte shadows in this palette feel very soft and the metallic shades feel very buttery, both things I like when it comes to a shadow formula. The palette is powdery, like how we used to of Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes. Because of the powderiness, you’ll probably experience some fallout on the face as well so I recommend using a loose setting powder. This way you can easily swipe the access powder away without ruining your base makeup.

Even though the Soft Glam Palette is powdery, it’s also pigmented and easy to apply. The formula is one swipe pigmented but you can easily build it up for even more color payoff. Moreover, this formula is also very easy to blend and to just overall work with! Definitely beginner-friendly.

While swatching the palette, I noticed slight patchiness with the shade Rustic but I didn’t notice this on the eyes so I would say it’s not patchy on the eyes but I do think it’s worth mentioning.

I personally really enjoy this palette. I love the variety of colors and formulas and I like wearing them daily, for a natural and work-appropriate makeup look.
