The Bali Body Face Tan Serum sounds like a multi-tasking dream for everyone that loves self tan! As you know by now, I love a good self-tanner. As I’m pretty pale, I often apply a layer of self tan to look a little more tanned and healthy. Where are my fellow pale people that get the “are you feeling sick?” question quite a lot?
I already have a list of Bali Body products that I love, but the Self Tanning Mousse in Dark has to be one of my favorites. Another product I like is the Bali Body Gradual Face Tan. When Bali Body shared that they were coming out with a Face Tan Serum, I was intrigued immediately because could this replace my love for the Gradual Face Tan?
Bali Body Face Tan Serum Review
Even though you can use the Bali Body Self Tanning products on the face, I usually just keep them for the body. For some reason, it still frightens me to apply it to the face in case of mishaps, so I prefer products designed for the face specifically.
A product like the Bali Body Face Tan Serum feels very mistake-proof, just like skincare. You apply it, and you’re good to go – just let it dry for a few minutes before applying other products. The serum will then do its job and start developing over time. It develops into a nice, natural-looking tan which I appreciate. We don’t like an overdone orange tan; thankfully, Bali Body knows this!
Overall, I haven’t encountered any negative points since I started using the Face Serum a month ago. It does its job regarding self tanning and provides a little extra love to the skin due to its powerhouse of skincare ingredients. I like this combination!
Value
At first glance, $29.95 for 30 ml may sound a little steep. However, most serums are already quite pricey in general, and the Bali Body Face Tan Serum gives you the benefits of a serum and a self tan in just one product. Based on the high-quality, two-in-one product, I think the price you pay is very reasonable.
Application
The Face Tan Serum has an easy-to-use dropper that sucks up enough product with one squeeze and lets out enough. This makes it very user-friendly, and you don’t have to worry about using too much or wasting any product.
Formula
The formula is exactly the same as your normal serum; it’s translucent, has a pleasant scent, applies easily to the face, neck, and decolletage, and absorbs quickly into the skin. It feels just as hydrating and nourishing as a “normal” hyaluronic acid serum would.
On top of that, as the serum absorbs quickly, you won’t feel any stickiness, and the skin doesn’t look greasy. My skin felt soft and smooth.
Results
For the first 1-2 hours, I noticed nothing other than hydrated, soft skin. After that, I saw the bronzed tan slowly developing. I like that this goes slowly, so it doesn’t look unnatural or fake. You can easily apply this in the morning without having to be afraid that it to start looking crazy during the day.
After a couple of hours, I saw a difference when I took photos and compared them, still without looking unnatural or fake. I may not have noticed the difference without a picture to compare, as it just looks so natural. But as you can see in the photos above, you can clearly see a bronzing tan that’s developing.
One day after applying the Face Serum, I took another photo for the final results. In this photo, you can see the final result of using the Face Serum just once (I’ve been using this serum for a month but let the tan disappear to show you how this serum looks after one application). If you apply the serum every day or every other day, you will have a continued tan.
After three days of not reapplying, the face tan was gone entirely on me. I had been very careful with cleaning my face though, so don’t rub too hard to avoid getting it off too quickly. It will fade naturally and slowly, which is nice if you want to use this serum every once in a while for a party-bronzed look.

I couldn’t say anything else; this Bali Body Face Tan Serum is a great product. I love a hyaluronic acid serum and a self tan, a combination of them is genuinely a dream product for me. While this serum hydrates the skin, it also develops a pretty and natural-looking bronzed tan.
