There’s one thing I love most about beauty and that’s putting products to the test. I want to find out if a product is a hit or a miss. In my beauty reviews, you’ll only find 100% honest thoughts and opinions, so you know what beauty product is worth spending your money on. In today’s post, I’m putting Bali Body Highlighter Sticks to the test. Keep reading for my in-depth review including swatches.

As you might know, I love Bali Body’s self tan products a lot. I’ve tested multiple products from the brand, such as the Gradual Tan, Self Tanning Face Water and Tanning Mousse in Dark, Self Tanning Mousse in Ultra Dark and their BB Cream & Shimmering Body Oil. Believe it or not, but all of the products are a hit and I use them all the time. P.s. I’m going to Barcelona in 5 weeks and I won’t be looking like Snow White, yasss thank you Bali Body!

When I heard that Bali Body was launching its first product within the brand’s cosmetic category I was over the moon. My first thought was “what could it be?!?!” and the second thought was “wait what, first product? Does this mean more products within the cosmetic category?”

Then I heard about the Bali Body Highlighter Sticks and it all came together because a highlighter is definitely something that matches the brand and their product range. Bali Body reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to try their new Highlighter Sticks, I obviously didn’t have to think about my answer!

Since my previous experiences with Bali Body products were so positive, I had high expectations for the Highlighter Sticks. Do they live up to my expectations? Let’s find out!

The Highlighter Sticks are available in three different, universal shades:

  • Moonlit – Soft shades of champagne and moonbeams as an ethereal glow.
  • Rose Gold – Warm rose tones add depth and radiance to any complexion.
  • Sunkissed – Deeper shades of bronze mimic rays of sunshine for a goddess-like glow.

The Bali Body Highlighter Sticks are supposed to achieve a soft, beaming glow when applied to the face for a radiant and luminous finish. The Highlighter Sticks retail for $29,95 each and are available at the Bali Body website

For my European/UK readers: Bali Body has a distribution center in London and they offer free 7-15 day shipping or Express Courier 2-5 day shipping at a very cheap price. This means no customs charges!

This product, as well as the whole product range, is cruelty-free and vegan. Moreover, the Highlighter Sticks are Paraben-free

This multitasking Highlighter Stick can also be used as a blush, bronzer or eyeshadow.

Bali Body Highlighter Sticks Swatches & Review

I’ve applied a full-coverage layer for the swatches so I could show off the color. When using the product, you have to blend it into the skin for a natural, glowy effect.

First of all, let’s talk about the colors and formula. The 3 shades are indeed very universal colors that a lot of people could wear. The formula is liquid, easy to apply with the wand applicator and dries down pretty quickly.

When I tried the Highlighter Stick on my face, I put 3 little dots on my cheekbones using the wand. Then I blended the product into the skin with my finger. I had no problem with blending it, as I dapped for 4-5 seconds and that’s it, hi perfect glowy cheekbones

The thing I appreciate the most about the formula is that it doesn’t accentuate pores or little blemishes you might have. It really sinks into the skin and looks like you woke up with that glow. A little side note, because this product sinks in so perfectly it isn’t super blinding. This really gives you a soft, natural glow. Even though it is buildable, you won’t achieve a super blinding glow.

Personally, I prefer a natural glow (even though I love to blind everyone every now and then lol) so I really like the way this highlighter looks on the skin. If you’re looking for a blinding highlighter, this product isn’t the one for you though.

I’m pretty pale and I can pull off both Moonlit and Rose Gold. Sunkissed is too dark for me to be used as a highlighter. However, I’m going to play around with it and use it as an eyeshadow. I will be sharing some looks on my Instagram soon, so make sure to follow me over there.

Overall, I really like this product! I personally am obsessed with the bronzey “I went to Bali last week” look, finishing that off with glowy, natural-looking skin. If this is something you love too, I’m very positive you’ll like the Bali Body Highlighter Sticks a lot!

Which one of the 3 Bali Body Highlighter Sticks is your favorite? I’d love to know, so please leave a comment below!

  1. Wow I was genuinely surprised by the applicators! They remind me of liquid lip or liquid shadow applicators – very intrigued by these! Hopefully, I’ll see them in store.

  2. I always tend to shy away from liquid/stick products for blush/bronzer/highlighter. I guess I don’t like how fussy they can be, primarily because they must be used before powder products. Although, these are different because the doefoot looks like a liquid lipstick applicator. Knowing me I probably would let them collect dust on my vanity, but the concept is intriguing enough. There is no way that I could pull off Sunkissed! Good review!

    1. Thank you so much! I’m normally not that into liquid products either but that’s mostly because I think it’s a struggle using it but I had no struggle at all with this product, thankfully!

  3. Those highlighters look so beautiful and sound amazing too! I always love using liquid highlighters like this, especially when layered with other highlighters for extra glow! Thanks for sharing your review! I loved reading this! Beautiful photos and swatches too! 🙂

  4. I haven’t tried anything from Bali Body but these look gorgeous! I especially love the rose gold one!

  5. I had never heard of Bali Body before this. Clearly I need to read more of your blog! I also have pale skin, so I wasn’t too sure I could pull these colors off until I saw your pictures. Either the Moonlit or Rose Gold seem like they would work for me. I’ll have to give it a try.

  6. Eeeep I’m happy to hear your praise for these products because I’ve got Moonlit and Rose Gold in the post, so they should arrive very shortly! I have a lot of very blinding highlighters, so I’m happy that these offer a more glowy and subtle look. Have you tried mixing them with foundation? I feel like that would create such a stunning effect! Either way, I can’t wait to try them out

    1. Yasss excited that you’ll get them too, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them! I haven’t tried mixing them with foundation but I’m definitely trying this soon, I think it would be gorgeous so thanks for sharing because I didn’t think about trying that!
