Clarins Lip Oils Review

Clarins Lip Oils recently went viral on TikTok and in the beauty community. The Clarins Lip Oils blend plant-based oils designed to nourish, hydrate, and protect lips with a non-sticky finish.

The review will analyze the product’s essential features, ingredients, performance, and value for money. It will also compare the product to other lip products (Especially the hyped Dior Lip Oils) to provide a comprehensive overview of Clarins Lip Oils.

The shades I got and am talking about are 10 Plum and 04 Pitaya.

Pigmentation

The Clarins Lip Oils are supposed to be sheer; you’ll get just a hint of color. As I’m applying the product to my lips, I can tell it leaves a soft hint of color though, which I don’t often have with sheer glosses (most of the time, I only see the shine and not the tint) so that was a nice surprise!

On top of the hat, these Lip Oils are truly high-shine – they leave a gorgeous shiny finish which I absolutely love. It gets less visible after 30 minutes to an hour as the product gets absorbed by my lips. Just add another layer, and the shine is back.

Formula

The formula is really lightweight, non-sticky, and very comfortable. It has a pretty strong scent, which I don’t mind, but I know not everyone will enjoy it, so this is your warning.

The formula glides on, looks high-shine immediately, and instantly nourishes my lips. After the Lip Oils fade, you’re left with smooth and soft lips. They felt more hydrated afterward, so that’s a good thing.

Application

The applicator is very user-friendly and big, making the application easy and quick. Since you don’t have to work precisely, it’s not irritating that this applicator is big and round.

Longevity

I saw these Lip Oils disappear within 1-2 hours. After 30 minutes to an hour, I had to reapply to regain the shine. I don’t think this is bad for a lip oil/lip gloss formula, but it’s also not very long-lasting either. However, they lasted longer on me than the Dior Lip Oils, which were gone within 0.2 seconds (this is a little dramatic as it was actually 30 minutes to an hour top).

Alternatives

  • Dior Lip Oils: If you thought about purchasing the Dior Lips Oils, reconsider! They’re not bad, but I would recommend the Clarins Lip Oils over them all day, every day.
  • Sigma Beauty Lip Oils: The Sigma Lip Oils are really lovely and make a great alternative that’s actually cheaper too. They’re non-sticky, comfortable, and have a sheer to opaque finish, which I really like.

Final Verdict

I really like the Clarins Lip Oils, and I now understand why so many people love them too. I think they’re definitely worth the hype! They’re great for daily use, as a lipstick topper, or as a lip treatment, as they’re super comfortable and leave a stunning high shine. My lips always feel soft, nourished, and smooth after using these Clarins Lip Oils.

FAQ

The Clarins Lip Oils, for sure – they stay on longer, provide more shine, are less thick in consistency, and are slightly more pigmented (still sheer as they’re supposed to be).

Clarins is not cruelty-free. They may test on animals, either themselves, through their suppliers, or through a third party where animal testing is required by law.
