Colourpop highlighters: Hippo, Smoke n Whistle and Flexitarian

February 25, 2018

I’ve discovered Colourpop one year ago and ever since I’m in love! This brand is actually really affordable but still gives you high pigmentation and great quality products. I’m sad this brand isn’t easy to get in Europe, because most of us have to pay customs charges to receive their products. On the other hand, I think this brand is actually worth the customs charges and I’m still frequently buying make-up from them.
A couple of weeks ago I did a huge haul at Colourpop and one of the products that I ordered were their Super Shock Cheek highlighters. The ones I’ve got are Flexitarian, Hippo and Smoke n Whistles.

Three different colors but all super pretty! Hippo is a soft cool-toned icy lavender highlighter, Smoke and Whistles is a cool-toned pink champagne with silver highlights and Flexitarian is an intense white champagne highlighter.

The left picture is without flash and the right picture is with flash. Look how pretty they are! From top to bottom: Smoke n Whistles, Hippo and Flexitarian. These highlighters have a wet feeling to them, it’s super buttery. It’s definitly a buidable highlighter and if you want to, you can mix them together.
This is what’s stated on the Colourpop site:

Highlighter This long-wearing crème powder cheek formula is the BFF of our famous Super Shock Shadows; it shares the same unique texture that is extremely buildable and blends smoothly to leave the cheeks looking healthy.

They also shared some application tips:

Fingertip application will provide the highest amount of coverage, and for a more sheer look we suggest using a flat synthetic cheek/foundation brush or a duo fiber brush. A flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more air brushed effect. Colour builds from natural to intense, build to your heart’s desire!

Final thoughts
I am in love! These Colourpop highlighters definitly belong to my favorite highlighters ever. When I’m wearing them to work, I apply them with a brush for a more subtile but still natural glowing look. If I want to blind people, I apply them with my finger for an intense glow! To be honest, if you never tried Colourpop before: hurry and go to www.colourpop.com to order some stuff!

See you next time!
