I already own a couple créme Lux lipsticks from Colourpop and I really like these so when I found out they would be coming out with matte lipsticks, I had to try them! Colourpop had a little sale so I ended up ordering 3 lipsticks for the price of 2. Let’s see if I like them!
Colourpop is definitely one of my favorite brands! They’re offering very high quality products for a really good and affordable price. They’re expanding their brand very fast and I love to see them grow so much! I don’t really own a lot of matte lipsticks (actual lipsticks, I do own a lot matte liquid lipsticks) and I like to expand my collection.
This is how the carton packaging looks. Clean white with rose gold letters, I love it! It’s just really simple but most os us throw out the carton packaging so I don’t think that really matters. I like a minimalistic look so I’m here for this. The lipstick cube itself is rose gold as well so it matches the carton packaging perfectly. I like how they’ve made it match and just make it feel super luxurious.
Here you can see the packaging better with the actual lipstick colors. From left to right: Paparazzi, Name Drop, and Big Break. I’ve ordered Paparazzi as a gift for my mom, she loves these type of colors. The other two are for me. Paparazzi is a warm rose, Name Drop is a warm baby pink and Big Break is a light blue pink. The formula is pretty nice though but a little bit dry. I would suggest putting a lip primer on before you apply these lipsticks to make them apply smoother. They’re nice on the lips and it makes my lips look more even, almost blurs my lines out. Nice! The lipsticks are super pigmented, it’ll cover your lips with one swipe.
Left picture is natural light and right is with a flashlight. Top to bottom: Paparazzi, Big Break and, Name Drop. I like them! As you can see, the lipsticks are so pigmented and matte. I wore them a couple of times and I do think they stay on pretty long. About 3-4 hours but when I ate I had to reapply them.
This is what stated on the Colourpop website:
This full coverage matte lipstick is packed full of the finest pigments to give you long wearing, true color in all the shades. The velvet matte finish is comfortable and non-drying, while soft blurring pigments lessen the look of fine lines. Enriched with Pomegranate, Goji Fruit, and Green Seed extracts to protect your lips from environmental stressors and premature aging.
These lipsticks are $7 each and contain 3.5g (0.12oz). They’re vegan and cruelty-free.
Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyethylene, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Hydrated Silica, Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vitis Vinifera Seed Extract, Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
I really like these lipsticks and they’re definitely worth a try. I’m not super enthusiastic because it’s not something we haven’t seen before but that doesn’t make it bad. It’s just a normal, good lipstick for an amazing price. Colourpop is doing an amazing job and I love all their products!
Hope to see you next time loves,
