Colourpop is one of my favorite brands because they’re affordable and their products are amazing! I was looking for a good new foundation and at that time Colourpop presented their new Colourpop No Filter Foundation. I have been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and I’m ready to tell you my thoughts!

As you might know, Colourpop has already put out a concealer which is also called ‘No Filter’ concealer. This actually means they’re expanding their face products. Besides the concealer and foundation, they’ve also launched two additional powders: No Filter Loose Setting Powder and No Filter Sheer Matte Pressed Powder. These powders come in different skin tones to match everyone, just like their concealer and foundation. I love how they’ve created a whole line of products that fit perfectly together. Moreover, the prices of the products are between $6 – $12 which is super affordable!

I haven’t tried their powders yet but I promise I’m going to try them in the future! However, I did try their concealer but sadly enough it was a little bit too light for me so I have to repurchase some other colors to get a good picture of how it works. I have to say that I already liked the concealer, even though it wasn’t the right color yet. The formula is super nice and, besides the wrong color, the product itself looked good! Because I was already pretty satisfied with the concealer, I expected the foundation to be good as well. Today I’m going to share my thoughts with you.

Colourpop No Filter Foundation | The packaging

First of all, the carton packaging and my shade. The carton packaging is a soft pink with white and has the name on the front. The shade is on top and I have shade Light 45. Thankfully, they’ve added a ‘Match By Brand’ button where you can fill in which brand you’re wearing right now and which color so you can see which Colourpop foundation comes close. My reference was the Fenty Beauty foundation, which is actually too dark for me. So when I matched my Fenty foundation with the Colourpop foundation, I chose to go a shade lighter. However, it was a guess and it could be the wrong color.

This is the actual glass foundation bottle. It’s a little bit dirty already because I’ve used it multiple times. The bottle doesn’t come with a cap but you can actually lock it so you won’t spill the product. Locking it works pretty well and I don’t really miss a cap so it doesn’t bother me at all. The bottle has the name and logo on it and a little bit of information on the back. It’s covered with cute little stars, I like that!

A little close-up from the pump. Be careful with pushing it, because if you push too hard the product shoots out but if you push it gently, you can control the amount of product. I think it works well and I haven’t spilled any product.

Colourpop No Filter Foundation | Swatches

Here’s a picture of the actual foundation shade. It’s a neutral foundation with yellow undertones for very light skin tones. This is the amount of product you’ll get after 1 pump. It’s possible to cover most of your face with this amount if you want medium coverage. If you’re looking for full coverage, I would recommend using a little bit more. For example, I use 2.5 pumps for full coverage. 2 pumps to cover my face and a half pump to cover my cheeks, forehead, and chin a little bit more. You can build this foundation up to your own preferences, which is really nice.

Here’s the above little drop foundation more diffused. As you can see, you’ll get full coverage. I haven’t really blended it into my skin so it kinda looks very cakey but I can promise you it doesn’t look like that on the face at all. The product itself is really lightweight, smooth, buildable, blurring, and natural-looking. I really enjoy this formula and when I’m wearing it, it almost feels like I don’t have anything on my face. It’s easy to use with other products as well (concealer, powders).

On the face

I’m always a little bit scared to post pictures of myself, haha, but I wanted to show you how flawless the foundation looks on my skin. Both pictures are taken on another day and in a different light (the left picture is taken in the morning and the right picture is taken in the afternoon) to show you how it looks. Normally, I don’t really have a lot of pimples but since I had to change some of my medicines, I had pretty bad acne. My forehead, chin, and nose were covered with pimples and red spots. The acne is clearing up now but I still have some red spots and scars. As you can see, this foundation covers it all! I was really insecure lately, because of the acne and this foundation really gave me a lot more confidence. I think it looks very natural and not cakey at all. I’m really happy with the result!

Since the Colourpop concealer shades I own don’t match me, I’m wearing the Kylie Cosmetics concealer in the shade Ivory. It’s really easy to use the concealer and foundation together and it’s nice you can still use your favorite concealer if you don’t want to use the Colourpop one. I’ve used the KKW Beauty Baking Powder to set my concealer and I’ve used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Powder to set my whole face.

If you’re wondering what highlighter I’m wearing, it’s the Kylie Cosmetics Champagne Showers highlighter. The lipstick I’m wearing in the left picture is Kylie Cosmetics August matte lipstick and the right picture is Kylie Cosmetics Twenty One Matte Lip Kit. Final Thoughts

I’m really in love with this foundation! It’s affordable, easy to use, looks very natural, applies very easy and you won’t spill product because it’s lockable. I really recommend trying this foundation if you’re looking for a new one! Moreover, I heard a lot of positive things about the other No Filter products as well so check these out as well! You can see the foundation here. There is a wide shade range so there must be a good shade for you as well!
