Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream
Even though I like using this Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream because of the thick and rich texture and results like balanced, hydrated skin, I don’t think I will repurchase this due to the price point and other great + cheaper options on the market. I also think this cream targets dehydrated, sensitive skin types I don’t have – if you do, please try this Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream because I think you can massively benefit from it!

There are a lot of skincare products on the market these days. It can be hard to know which ones are worth your money. That’s why I’m here to give you my honest opinion about Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream.

My verdict? If you have dry, sensitive skin, the Ceramidin Cream is a winner! This thick, rich cream is packed with ceramides, essential for keeping your skin hydrated and healthy. Keep reading for my full review, the pros and cons, and much more.

What Is The Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream

The Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream is an everyday cream with five ceramides to support the skin’s moisture barrier and prevent water loss. Empowered by advanced Korean skincare technology, Dr.Jart+ offers a cornucopia of skin-balancing, ultra-healing formulas. Brimming with skin-strengthening, moisture-imparting ingredients, the Ceramidin Cream is a staple in any dry, discomforted skin-remedying routine. Calling upon a complex of five ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and botanical extracts, this formula fends off itch-inspiring dryness and rough texture for a gloriously smooth and dewy complexion.

What Is Ceramides Good For?

Vogue explains that ceramides are essential lipids naturally found within our body, which help maintain the integrity of the skin barrier and hold hydration in the skin. While using ceramide-infused products is key to aging gracefully because they help to keep the skin looking healthy, firm, and plump by minimizing the appearance of fine lines, the amount of fatty acids reduces over time.

“Ceramides are a missing component in people with eczema or clinically dry skin. Putting on moisturizer with ceramides intensely helps restore the outer layer of the skin. However, the ingredient can benefit everyone—as they are a crucial component of healthy, hydrated skin,” says dermatologist Dr. Alexis Stephens, interviewed by Vogue.

Best Suited For

The Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream is suited for sensitive and dry skin. But also works well for normal, combination, and oily skin. It fights skincare concerns like dryness, loss of firmness, and elasticity.

How To Use

Apply The Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream in the morning and night on clean, dry skin to deeply moisturize.

Things To Note

Dr. Jart is NOT cruelty-free! Dr. Jart allows its products or ingredients to be tested on animals when required by law, including when selling in stores in mainland China. In addition, Dr. Jart is owned by Estee Lauder, a parent company that is also not cruelty-free (Source: Ethical Elephant).

However, the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores and is fragrance-free.

Where To Buy

The Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream retails for $48 and is available at Sephora, YesStyle, Stylvana, and Cult Beauty.

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream Review

I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now, and I really like it. This Ceramidin Cream is an excellent option for those with very dry or sensitive skin. The texture is thick and creamy, and you’ll feel it hydrating the skin immediately after applying it. It takes away the tight feeling of dry skin instantly. It’s easy to apply, and the skin absorbs the cream quickly, leaving it super soft and non-greasy.

As I have dry to normal skin, I didn’t need to apply this cream every day; if I applied it, it was always at night. This type of cream would be too thick and rich for me to apply in the morning. I’m sure it would make my skin and makeup look a little greasy during the day, so I use this at night. If you have a similar skin type to me or are more on the combination or oily skin type side, I don’t think this would be a daily moisturizer for you, either. Using this every other night for extra hydration is a great and lovely way to use this cream, in my opinion.

Due to the price point, I’m not so sure if I would repurchase it. Let me assure you, this cream is very nice, but I do think there are cheaper options that work and feel the same as the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream. Especially since I’m not using this every day – which is another fear point, you go through a bottle fairly quickly. The 50 ml may last for two months if you use this daily. Paying $48 for a product that I don’t use every day and doesn’t last that long is quite a lot.

However, I’m optimistic this cream would work massively on dehydrated and sensitive skin types, people with eczema, or other skin concerns related to dryness. The cream is very gentle, doesn’t irritate the skin at all, and keeps the skin balanced. If you’re looking for actual results, I think you should try this! If you battle sensitive, red and irritated skin, you may want to check out the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment, which helped me battle redness.

What Makes This Cream Different?

This Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream will make a massive difference for dehydrated, sensitive skin and even eczema. I don’t see tremendous results other than nicely hydrated skin on my dry to normal skin, so this isn’t a “unique” cream for me. Either way, I still love using it, especially when my skin is extra dry. That’s why I think this Ceramidin Cream is fantastic for skin types that need a lot of moisture, hydration, and healing.

Alternatives

  • rhode skin barrier restore cream: The barrier restore cream from rhode is an excellent alternative if you’re looking for a moisturizer cheaper than the Dr. Jart cream and helps restore and hydrate your skin. It also has a thicker texture, but not as thick as the Dr. Jart, thus making it a great option for more skin types, such as combination and oily. On top of that, rhode is a clean, cruelty-free, and vegan brand.
  • Glow Recipe Plum Plump Cream: If you’re looking for a good, hydrating moisturizer but with a thinner texture, please try out the Glow Recipe Plump Plump. It is actually very moisturizing, smells delicious, quickly absorbing, non-greasy and non-sticky. Glow recipe is also cruelty-free and vegan, whereas Dr. Jart isn’t.

Final Verdict

Even though I like using this Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream because of the thick and rich texture and results like balanced, hydrated skin, I don’t think I will repurchase this due to the price point and other great + cheaper options on the market. I also think this cream targets dehydrated, sensitive skin types I don’t have – if you do, please try this Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream because I think you can massively benefit from it!
