I’m obsessed with mini’s lately and when I saw that Fenty Beauty Holiday 2019 Collection included a couple of mini’s, I was so excited. So quickly after the reveal, both the Glossy Posse set and the Bomb Baby 2 set got a nice place on my wishlist. I actually planned on getting them during Black Friday but Fenty Beauty had a 20% discount and I decided to buy both the sets already. In today’s blog post I’m going to review & swatch the Fenty Beauty Holiday 2019 Collection.
I’ve been wanting Fu$$y Gloss Bomb for so long. Since the moment it came out and this might even be a year ago already? Not sure though, but at least it launched a while ago. I was even more excited to see that this shade is included in the Glossy Posse set, with 4 other stunning shades.
The Bomb Baby 2 mini highlighter & gloss bomb caught my eyes immediately as well. Even though I didn’t really love the Killawatt highlighter the first time I tried it, I was ready to give it another shot. And yeah, I’m gloss obsessed since I’ve tried the Kylie Cosmetics High Glosses so another gloss can’t hurt right?

Fenty Beauty did launch these two sets with a couple more products. The whole Holiday 2019 Collection contains the following products:
Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Collection
Mini Body Lava in the shade ‘Who Needs Clothes?!’
Bomb Baby 2 Mini Lip and Face Set
Lil Stunna Mini Longwear Fluid Lip Color in the shade ‘Underdawg’
I feel like all these products make great gifts and are perfect for this time of the year. I love how the Glossy Posse set comes in a metallic box which makes it, even more, a gift. Also, if you haven’t tried anything from Fenty Beauty yet, it’s always nice to start with a mini-set.
I LOVE the packaging of this set. It looks very luxurious on the outside and when you open it. The actual glosses inside are so stunning! The smell of the glosses is very nice as well. I can smell it when I apply them but while wearing it, I don’t really smell it anymore so you don’t have to worry about a strong scent.
I also really like how wearable these glosses are. The shades might look a bit intimidating (the pink and the red shade for example) but they’re giving a beautiful, subtle color payoff.
The formula of the glosses is amazing. I think the formula is super close to the Kylie Cosmetics High Glosses formula if it’s not the same or better. I think it’s a very hydrating, non-sticky gloss that stays on pretty well. It’s a gloss so it’s not going to stay on forever like a matte lipstick, but it stays on quite a while.
I first wasn’t sure if I should get this set or not, since I’m not that obsessed with the Killawatt highlighters. I tried one when Fenty Beauty first launched and I wasn’t really feeling it since it was so glittery.
However, I really really really liked the gloss and I was okay with giving Fenty Beauty highlighters another chance so I ended buying it to see if my opinion changed. And because of the gloss lol.
The mini gloss is just as good and lovely as the glosses in the Glossy Posse set. I don’t really have something new or special to say about this gloss, it’s just amazing. I did add the gloss to the Glossy Posse set swatches, to show you how it looks compared to them. You can see this picture below.
Then it was time to try the highlighter. After swatching it on my arm, I really loved the shade and the pigment. I touched it barely and had this amount of payoff which is a good sign for the people who like to REALLY glow. Moreover, I immediately saw that this highlighter wasn’t too glittery so that alone made me very happy.
I obviously tried the highlighter on my face and I actually really like it. I love how it looks on my skin tone and you have the possibility to build this highlighter up to the amount of glow you like. After my swatch, I thought this would be specifically for the extreme glow lovers but that’s not true. You can really start with just a little bit for a natural glow and build it up to the amount of glow you prefer. I love that!
Overall, I’m not disappointed at all. I’m even surprised! I didn’t expect to like this highlighter as much as I do.
Here all the swatches of the Glossy Posse set and I added the Gloss Bomb shade from the Bomb Baby 2 Set, which is the bottom shade. I love how all the glosses have a different color, none of them is the same. Both the sets make a great gift! You could even gift someone both the sets without them having duplicate shades, which I also appreciate.
I think Fenty Beauty did a great job with their Holiday 2019 Collection!
