35 Incredible Glitter Eyeshadow Looks
Golden Glitter Eyeshadow
Golden glitter eyeshadow looks are perfect for bringing warmth and glamour to your eyes. The shiny flecks of gold glitter catch the light beautifully, making your eyes pop. Golden glitter pairs especially well with bronzed makeup looks. It works great for day or night.
Want to take a golden glitter eye to the next level? Top it off with lush lashes and a swipe of highlighter on your brow bone and inner corners.
Purple Glitter Eyeshadow
Purple glitter eyeshadow transports you to a magical realm. The sparkling violet glitter adds an otherworldly allure to your eyes. Purple works well with cool-toned makeup looks and colors like blue, silver, lavender, and purple.
For a night out, accentuate purple glitter with a deep berry lip. Or keep things light during the day paired with neutral lips and cheeks.
Pink Glitter Eyeshadow
Pink glitter eyeshadow is perfect for bringing out your sweet and flirty side. The rosy sparkles look gorgeous with all skin tones—pink glitter pairs beautifully with soft blush and glossy lips.
For the day, opt for lighter pink glitter. Amp it up after dark with a bolder pink glitter shade. The romantic sparkles make pink glitter eyeshadow a go-to for Valentine’s Day looks too.
Peachy Glitter Eyeshadow
Peachy glitter eyeshadow adds a sunny, beachy vibe to your eyes. The warm apricot sparkles look so fresh and feminine. Peachy glitter works well with bronzed makeup looks featuring sunkissed cheeks and a peachy lip.
The cheerful sparkles also pair nicely with denim and other casual daytime outfits. Want to take peachy glitter from day to night? Top it off with dramatic lashes and a smoky liner.
Blue Glitter Eyeshadow
Blue glitter eyeshadow makes a bold yet whimsical statement. The sparkling azure glitter gives your eyes a mesmerizing quality. Blue glitter works well with cool-toned looks in shades like navy, teal, and emerald. For the day, pair lighter blue glitter with neutral makeup.
Ramp up blue glitter after dark with darker liner and bolder lips. The magical sparkles also make blue glitter eyeshadow perfect for the festival season or the Holiday season.
Silver Glitter Eyeshadow
Silver glitter eyeshadow brings futuristic glamour to your eyes. The light-reflective sparkles make your eyes pop and look ultra-dimensional. Silver glitter pairs well with cool-toned looks in shades like white, gray, and lavender. It also works great with metallic and holographic makeup looks. Top silver glitter off with highlighter on the brow bone and inner corners for an otherworldly glow.
Colorful Glitter Eyeshadow
Colorful glitter eyeshadow lets you experiment with fun hues beyond the basics. Mix together vibrant shades of glitter in colors like fuchsia, emerald, tangerine, and more. The eye-catching sparkles are perfect for festivals and parties and whenever you want to turn heads.
Layer on different glitter shades or blend them together for ombré effects. Top colorful glitter off with thick lashes and a glossy lip to complete bold day or night looks.
How To Recreate These Glitter Eyeshadow Looks Like A Pro
As gorgeous as glitter eyeshadow looks, it can be challenging to apply. Not so great at preventing fallout and clumps? Don’t worry – I have a few quick tips that make glitter eyeshadow application a breeze.
- Start by applying a primer to your eyelids. This will help the glitter stick and stay in place.
- If you decide to use chunky glitters or want to add some to your face, use a glitter primer or glitter glue (NO normal glue; use a specifically made-for-the-face glue like this one from NYX).
- You can use the metallic shades in an eyeshadow palette, liquid eyeshadow, cream shadows, or pigments.
- Next, use a brush to apply the glitter eyeshadow. Start with a small amount and build up as needed.
- To avoid any fallout, gently pat the shadow on instead of sweeping it across your lid.
If you’re using an eyeshadow palette, you may want to wet your brush before dipping into the shadow to intensify the color payoff.
It is also possible to build up the pigment with different types of glitter. For example, you can start with metallic powder eyeshadow or a liquid eyeshadow and then add glitter pigments or chunky glitter on top.
If you’re like me and don’t want much trouble with glitter glue and glitters everywhere, I’m more than happy to share a couple of my personal favorite glitter products:
- The Tati Beauty Textured Eyeshadow Palette (sadly discontinued)
- The ILIA Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint

I absolutely love glitter eyeshadow looks but I can’t deal with the fall out. Always have the biggest struggle to remove it from EVERYWHERE on my face. The eyeshadow looks are verry pretty though.

A tip against fall out: use setting powder! Once you’re done with the glitters, you brush the setting powder away and no glitters everywhere! ?
I love glitter eyeshadow looks, especially when incorporated properly into a makeup look rather than just slapped onto the eye. I love the second look in particular! I have 3 completely unopened loose glitters in my collection so I think it’s time to dig them out now lol…
Totally agree, when I’m creating a look myself I always try to incorporate them in my look! And yesss get those loose glitters out!!
I’m obsessed with that glittery look where the glitter was applied underneath the lash line ??✨
I love that one too! So simple but still so lovely ?
I love the third one from the bottom. Great looks for Xmas parties
I can’t wait to play around with makeup to create looks like this for Christmas parties! 🙂
Wow
Such a great and inspiring post 🥰
Thank you so much lovely!
