When it’s officially Summer, I like to make my body totally summerproof. I have my own ways to do so and that’s why I would like to share my tips on how to make yourself summerproof.
Keep in mind that these are my preferences and what I like to do. It’s not something you need to do too. If you like some of my tips, feel free to use them. 🙂
I have my own little steps I always like to do before I go on vacation or when the weather starts getting better and I know I’ll be showing more body. I like to feel all summer proof and ready to put on a skirt or dress if I want to without having to think ‘oh I’m not ready yet!’ So I have my ways and I’ll be sharing them with you today. Hopefully, they’re helpful!
How to make yourself Summerproof
My first step in making myself Summerproof is taking a shower and shave everything I want to shave. For me, these are my whole legs and armpits. It’s possible to get your hairs removed through waxing. I never did this before but I’m actually very intrigued to try once… (if I do so, would you like a blog post about it?)
The next step is to exfoliate my whole body. I have to admit that I’m not sure if you have to scrub before or after shaving but I like to do this afterward, so it helps to prevent ingrown hairs. Also, it’ll remove all the dead skin and I’m all clean and ready for a tan. Don’t forget your face, I like to use a gentle face scrub too, for example, the Kylie Skin Walnut Scrub.
Of course, I wash my hair and after that, I’m applying a hair mask or conditioner. To give my hair an extra boost and hydration.
I really really really love the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask. I recommend not scrubbing your face if you would like to use this mask. This mask exfoliates your face and leaves it glowing and soft. I like to use this mask after my shower to relax a bit and getting my skin ready. If I already scrubbed my face in the shower, I tend to use a hydrating mask.
The next step is cutting my toenails and paint them in a bright color. I love to use pink, but that’s, of course, my own preference. I sometimes even put a foot mask on. Something like this. So my feet are clean, soft and ready for flip flops!
The next step is, if you like, self-tan. This is not necessary but if you like to have a little tan already this is a good option. I like to use Bali Body products for this. But you can definitely use your own favorite brand as well.
Obviously, you can go as far as you want. Get your nails done at a salon, get fake lashes, get your brows done, go for a spray tan, go for a wax, etc. Whatever you like to add to get yourself ready for Summer. 🙂
