If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you probably know how much I love the Huda Beauty Lipsticks in the Matte Power Bullet formula. So it might not come as a surprise that I was super excited when Huda Beauty announced & launched a cream version of these awesome lipsticks to their range. The first launch contains 14 shades with two ‘sides’ which divides the collection into brown-toned shades and pinkish-toned shades. There are 7 shades in Bossy Browns and 7 shades in Sweet Nudes.

I couldn’t really pick one or two favorite shades so I got five of them lol. Since I love the matte formula so much, I wasn’t scared to immediately pick 5 shades up. I was pretty sure I was going to like this formula anyways… but did I? Or did I just waste a lot of money? Let me talk you through the review, starting with introducing this new Huda Beauty Lipsticks formula!

As I already said, there are 2 different ‘collections’ if you will, Sweet Nudes and Bossy Browns. All 7 shades in each little collection have a pink touch or a brown touch to them. I like this idea because I personally navigate towards pink nudes, which makes it easy to pick my shades. It might now be a surprise that I mainly got shades from the Sweet Nudes collection, I got: Buttercup, Angel, Honey Bun, Sweet Cheeks. From the Bossy Browns collection, I got Hustla.

sweet nudes

  • Buttercup: Light soft pink
  • Angel: Light pink nude
  • Honey Bun: Medium pink, hint of peach
  • Sweet Cheeks: Medium pink
  • Baby Face: Medium pink, hint of brown
  • Habibi: Rich pink, hint of purple
  • Amore: Rich pinky brown, hint of purple

bossy browns

  • Empress: Light beige nude
  • Rajah: Light brown
  • Hustla: Medium brown, hint of pink
  • Money Maker: Medium warm brown
  • Goal Digger: Medium muted brown
  • Boss Chick: Rich warm brown
  • Self Made: Rich deep brown

swatches

The Huda Beauty lipsticks look pretty much matte in these swatch photos but they have a gorgeous, soft glow to them on the lips. The formula is smooth, soft, and creamy. It’s so comfortable to wear! Moreover, they’re pigmented in one swipe but you can build the color up for even more color payoff if you want to.

Since these are cream lipsticks, I expected them to be less long-wearing. I was wrong! Even though the creamy formula, these lipsticks stay on perfectly for 4 hours without eating. They start to slowly fade after that, in a nice way. No crumbling or ugly lines, it almost looks like it fades into your lips. This is definitely something that makes me love this formula even more!

Not only are they creamy and comfortable, but they’re also hydrating. I find this the only difference between the matte Power Bullets and this Cream Glow formula since the Mattes are creamy but matte looking & very comfortable too. The Cream Glow formula is obviously creamy looking & feels hydrating and creamy. I really like that!

My expectations were very high and in most cases, I get disappointed in a situation like that haha. But these Huda Beauty lipsticks did not disappoint at all! I have been wearing these all the time, even with a mask on, because I love them so much. And yes, I wore them with a mask on and noticed just a tiny bit of transferring onto the mask which also surprised me in a good way. Honestly, I don’t have anything bad to say about these!

My personal favorite shades are Angel and Sweet Cheeks. I love to combine Angel with the KKW Beauty Nude 1.5 lip liner, such a stunning combination! Sweet Cheeks is stunning with the Colourpop Another Round lip liner. But you can obviously wear them alone or with your own favorite lip liner(s)!

Have you tried Huda Beauty lipsticks? If so, have you already tried this Cream Glow formula? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
