Huda Beauty: Wifey Liquid Matte

July 14, 2018

Huda Beauty is a little bit harder to get in my country. It’s possible to order this online but you’ll have customs charges. When I was in NYC I had to get myself some Huda Beauty products to try out and one of the things I’ve got is their Liquid Matte lipstick in the color Wifey.

First of all, I really like the packaging! I have to admit that I feel like this is inspired on the Kylie Cosmetics lipkit but it’s not identically the same. I like how you can already see the color clearly and it’s just clean nice packaging. I also really like that the lipstick itself is in a matte tube.

Here’s a closer look at the applicator. It’s just a normal kind of applicator which applies the lipstick really smooth and is just very nice. The smell is pretty strong though, so if you don’t really like scented lipsticks this might not be your thing. I don’t mind the smell, it has a sweet smell and I like that so it’s fine by me. When I applied the lipstick I didn’t really smell the lipstick anymore so you won’t smell this the whole day, you will smell it just when you apply the lipstick to your lips.

Left picture is natural light and the right picture is with a flashlight on. I forgot to take my Fitbit off while taking pics so don’t mind that haha. The color is super pretty! It’s a perfect nude color for me and as you might know by now, I really love a nude lipstick. It’s a pinkish nude color and it dries down completely. On the pictures, I just applied it so that’s why it’s still a little bit wet looking. In my opinion, this matte liquid lipstick is similar to the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks which are really good. The lipstick stays on very well and doesn’t transfer. I had to reapply the lipstick after 3-4 hours. It’s really comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry out my lips at all.

Product information
The price I paid was $20 and the lipstick contains 0.17 oz/ 5 ml. You can get the lipstick at Sephora, in stores and online. This product is cruelty-free and free of gluten. Please note: the color’s appearance may vary based on skin tone once set.

Final thoughts
I enjoy using this lipstick, I do think it looks pretty and it’s super comfortable. I’m satisfied with how long the lipsticks stayed on and that it’s transfer proof. I would recommend the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte. I also would recommend the color Wifey but that really depends on your personal preferences if you would like this color too.

Hope to see you next time loves,
