When I was in NYC, I knew I had to get some Huda Beauty products. One of the products I really wanted to try, is their liquid matte lipsticks. So I ended up buying Huda Beauty Wifey Liquid Matte. In today’s blog post, I’m going to share my thoughts on this lipstick.

Huda Beauty is a brand I keep looking at online and really love their products. But I haven’t bought anything yet since it’s pretty expensive to ship this brand to my country. So of course, I had to go to the Huda Beauty section in Sephora and check out their products. If you’re curious to see what I bought at Sephora during my trip to NYC, I suggest checking out my haul blog post. One of the things I bought during my trip, is the Huda Beauty Wifey Liquid Matte lipstick.
I decided to go for this one since I love nude lipsticks. I wanted a shade I could wear every day and this one looked perfect. It’s a more pinkish nude, which suits my skin tone the best. Moreover, I get very yellow looking teeth from peachy nudes. Knowing this, Wifey felt like the one.
Huda Beauty Wifey Review
First thing I want to talk about is the packaging. I actually think it’s very cute! I like how it looks like the lipstick is in someone’s mouth lol. Moreover, it’s easy to see the color straight away. However, I do feel like this packaging is inspired (don’t want to say copied though) by Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits packaging.
Here’s a closer look at the applicator. It’s just a normal kind of applicator which applies the lipstick really smooth and overall very nice. The smell is pretty strong though, so if you don’t like a scented lipstick, this might not be your thing. I don’t mind the smell, it has a sweet smell and I like that, so it’s fine by me.
The formula feels nice on the lips. It does take some time for it to dry down but it ends up drying down completely.
The left picture is natural light and the right picture is with a flashlight on. I forgot to take my Fitbit off while taking pics so don’t mind that haha. The color is super pretty! It’s a perfect nude color to me and as you might know by now, I really love a nude lipstick. On the pictures, I just applied it so that’s why it’s still a little bit wet looking but it dries down. In my opinion, this matte liquid lipstick is similar to the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks. The lipstick stays on very well and doesn’t transfer. I had to reapply the lipstick after 3-4 hours. It’s really comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry out my lips at all.

The price I paid was $20 and the lipstick contains 0.17 oz/ 5 ml. You can get the lipstick at Sephora, in stores and online. This product is cruelty-free and free of gluten. Please note: the color’s appearance may vary based on skin tone once set.
I enjoy using this lipstick, I do think it looks pretty and it’s super comfortable. I’m satisfied with how long the lipsticks stayed on and that it’s transfer-proof. I would recommend the Huda Beauty Wifey Liquid Matte.
Hope to see you next time loves,
