It’s my first blog post ever and I’m so excited! I’m so happy to share my love and passion for beauty with you. I hope you’ll enjoy this new adventure as much as I do. Let’s talk about makeup now! One of the things I recently bought was a Kat Von D matte liquid lipstick in the shade Ophelia and I really didn’t know what to expect. In today’s blog post I’m going to review Ophelia.
My favorite matte liquid lipsticks are from Kylie Cosmetics but I’m really open when it comes to trying other brands. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks, which made me curious. Since we don’t have a Sephora in The Netherlands, I was super excited to go to a Sephora in Spain. I went to Barcelona just to go to Sephora. I’ve visited Barcelona multiple times, so I haven’t missed out on the other beautiful things in this city. So one of the things I had to buy was a Kat Von D liquid lipstick. I’ve swatched multiple shades in store and my favorite one was Ophelia.

I really like the packaging. You can definitely tell that Kat Von D is a tattoo artist, because of the packaging. I like when people are creative and make something which matches their personality. Kat did a really good job! I love the silver details on the actual lipstick cube.
Here’s Ophelia swatched. I think it’s a stunning color! It’s a perfect nude, with a peachy undertone. The lipstick dries down but still stays sticky. I don’t really like the sticky feeling, it’s even worse than a gloss in my opinion. It’s not the worst thing ever, but personally I just don’t like a sticky feeling. I prefer a good matte lip. I don’t think I’m going to purchase another shade again, but I will wear this lipstick because the color is pretty.
This is what stated on the Kat Von D website:
Unleash high-pigment, long lasting lipstick with an effortless swipe of the doe-footed wand. Everlasting Liquid Lipstick makes it easy to get a crisp, precise lip look. This creamy formula glides over lips like a gloss and sets to a true matte finish, plus it’s packed with natural moisturizers, including Vitamin E and Sunflower Seed Wax. Matte lipstick has never felt so comfortable!
Vegan & Cruelty Free
It’s $20 dollars and I paid 20 euros for it in Europe as well.
Hope to see you next time,
