Even though I’m not obsessed with Winnie Harlow (I like her but I’m not really following her) I was super excited when this collection got revealed. The KKW Beauty x Winnie Harlow Collection products looked very beautiful, especially the palette. Also, I think this collaboration was pretty unexpected and that’s cool too. I tried out the palette and the three glosses from this collection, continue reading if you would like to see my brutally honest opinion.

Winnie Harlow is an absolutely gorgeous top model, who got discovered by America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks. Even though she didn’t win the competition, she still ended up as one of the most famous models nowadays.

Willow (who’s name actually is Chantelle Whitney Brown-Young, did you know this? I didn’t!) is born with the chronical skin condition vitiligo, characterized by depigmentation of portions of the skin. I personally think it’s amazing she’s a top model now because she’s such an amazing inspiration for other people with vitiligo.

One of the things I adore about Kim Kardashian West, is her drive to give back to the community and advocating for prison reform. The thing I like about Winnie, is her speaking up for other people with vitiligo and showing them they’re beautiful just the way they are. Them coming together and collaborate is such an empowering move to me.

The KKW Beauty x Winnie Harlow Collection contains a 12-pan eyeshadow palette, 3 lip glosses, and 1 highlighter duo. The collection is available as a bundle or separately.

I have to admit I really love KKW Beauty’s eyeshadow palettes. Like, a lot. I own all of them! My favorites are the Classic and Classic Blossom palettes. However, I for sure love them all because of the pretty colors and great pigmentation. But I have to say, I think this is my least favorite color scheme. It just seems a little bit off, like it doesn’t give me tons of inspiration when it comes to creating looks.

Even though it might not be my favorite palette color scheme-wise, the quality is as good as always. I struggled with swatching Kintsugi and Ruby on my arm but found out they worked fine on the eyes. I didn’t have any problems with blending whatsoever. Also, I’m not obsessed with how Obsidian swatched but I do like how it’s a black shade with a little shimmer.

Do I think that this palette is super special? Not really. It’s pigmented, it contains beautiful mostly neutral shades but isn’t really spectacular. KKW Beauty’s palettes are always pretty neutral toned so if you’re looking for a more vibrant palette, I don’t think this is your brand.

Quality-wise I would definitely recommend this palette. I love KKW Beauty’s formula, the shadows are so easy to blend and I never have a lot of fallout.

I have some sort of love-hate relationship with the KKW Beauty lipgloss formula. It’s not super sticky, but it kinda feels heavy and thick on the lips. The smell is gross, a very fabric kind of smell which I just don’t like at all. However, I love the colors of these three shades (actually I love most of the shade glosses a lot) and the beautiful glitters in it. Moreover, I do think they’re pretty long-wearing for a gloss probably because it’s a thicker formula.

So in the end, these glosses aren’t bad at all, but because of the formula and the smell, not my favorites either. I definitely prefer Kylie’s High Glosses and the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs

  2. Omg girl, I was so interested when I saw the gloss swatches but now I’m wondering if I would also dislike the smell. Gorgeous shades though!
