It’s my first blog post ever and I’m so excited! I’m so happy to share my love and passion for beauty with you. I hope you’ll enjoy this new adventure as much as I do. Let’s talk about makeup now! One of the things I recently bought was a KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and I really didn’t know what to expect. In today’s blog post I’ll tell you everything about the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ophelia.
Kat Von D Beauty announced today that founder Kat Von D has made a full departure from the brand to focus on other artistic endeavors (namely, her vegan shoe line and upcoming album), thus making KENDO the sole owner and force behind the beauty line. Effective immediately, the brand will now be called KVD Vegan Beauty.
My all-time favorite matte liquid lipstick formula is the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit or single Liquid Lipsticks. I haven’t found another liquid lipstick that is equal or even better than the Kylie Cosmetics ones. As a beauty lover, I love to try out new products and see if I can find new favorites. I have been intrigued by the KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks for a while now. I have to admit that the packaging looks the most tempting to me and this makes me want to try them!
I absolutely love the KVD Vegan Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper so I had high hopes for their liquid lipstick to be amazing as well. Since KVD Vegan Beauty isn’t available in the Netherlands and only available in Sephora’s in Europe, I took advantage of my vacation to Lloret De Mar. This city in Spain is a one hour drive away from Barcelona and the beautiful Barcelona has multiple Sephora’s!
I have been to Barcelona a few times now and I love it there. This time, our visit to Barcelona was just to find a Sephora and buy a couple of beauty products. The KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ophelia was in my basket quickly. As well as a couple of backups of the Tattoo Liner. I’ve tested the liquid lipstick in the meantime and I’m ready to give you my final thoughts! But first, let’s dive into some important details.
Kvd Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ophelia
Update in 2020: I just found out that this shade is discontinued as I couldn’t find it on their website anymore! KVD Vegan Beauty does sell other beautiful shades to check out though, click here.
The KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks retail for $21 and contain 0.22 oz/6.6 mL. The liquid lipsticks, as well as all the other products, are vegan & cruelty-free.
Meet the liquid lipstick that launched a revolution. The world went matte when Everlasting Liquid Lipstick debuted: Eye-catching matte lipstick in a comfortable liquid formula with all-day long wear? It was unheard of! Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is still one of KVD Vegan Beauty’s most beloved collections and it’s not hard to see why—the swatches don’t lie!
Take your pick from a spectrum of richly pigmented shades designed for every skin tone—all kinds of reds, unique color pops you won’t find anywhere else and a full range of nudes including “Lolita,” the iconic neutral shade that looks beautiful, and different, on everyone.
Unleash high-pigment, long-lasting lip color with an effortless swipe of the wand. Everlasting Liquid Lipstick makes it easy to get a crisp, precise lip look. This creamy liquid lipstick formula glides over lips like a gloss and sets to a true matte finish, plus it’s packed with natural moisturizers, including vitamin E and sunflower seed wax. Matte lipstick has never felt so comfortable!
Kat von D Liquid Lipstick Ophelia Swatch
First of all, I really love the packaging of the liquid lipsticks. As of right now, Kat Von D isn’t the owner anymore but you can tell she designed the packaging. It’s really tattoo inspired and I like it! I love the silver details and the longer than a normal tube, it makes the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick stand out.
The thing I mentioned with this type of packaging is that it’s too long to fit in my Alex drawing in a standing position while other of my liquid lipsticks can stand. So the long packaging is a little bit of a con when it comes to storing the liquid lipstick. Other than that, I don’t see any cons.
Ophelia is a beautiful, peachy nude color. The liquid lipstick is easy to apply to the lips with the normal applicator. The color might be a little too peachy for my likings but it looks fine on the lips and my teeth don’t look super yellow thankfully (which most of the time happens to me when the shade is too peachy/orangy).
The formula is a whole other story. The liquid lipstick dries down but it still stays sticky. I hate this sticky feeling! After a while, these lipsticks start to crumble as well and I get like this little pieces of lipstick all over my lips. The feeling of the crumbles is gross and it also looks very gross. I prefer a good matte, not a sticky and crumbling formula. I’m definitely disappointed by the formula. I don’t think I would ever purchase an Everlasting Liquid Lipstick ever again.
However, I’m not afraid to try other products in the future. I would love to try a KVD Vegan Beauty Bullet Lipstick once and I would try other products if I see something I like.
Have you ever tried a KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.
