Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection 2019 | Review
It’s not a surprise anymore when I post a Kylie Cosmetics review. I love the brand and I love collecting the products and collections. I think Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collections are my favorite collections since Kylie is always going in 101% for her birthday. The Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection 2019 contains a lot of new formulas and products, and as always, the packaging is money-themed and amazing. So I ended up buying the full bundle! Today I’m going to share all ins and outs on the Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection 2019!
You might’ve heard it already, but Kylie Jenner became a billionaire this year. To be honest, I’m not surprised. You can say whatever you want about her, but she’s definitely a hard-working woman building two amazing businesses. The fact she did a money-themed Birthday Collection is a nice way to let the world know she’s a badass boss! Moreover, Kylie is giving back in a huge way this year which I think is amazing. Kylie teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres to give back to people.
Together theyโre on a nationwide search to find some incredible people doing incredible things for their families, friends, and communities โ and Ellen and Kylie plan to do something really big for them in return!
Do you know someone who always gives to others, but rarely treats themselves? Is a loved one in need and could use Ellen and Kylieโs help? Do you know of a family doing good in the world? Nominate this person here.ย

As you can tell, the Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection 2019 packaging is full of pinks, glitters, gorgeous pictures of Kylie herself, money signs and some green. The packaging is very playful and colorful. I love the money theme! I think it’s cute and something different.ย
The products that are totally new to Kylie Cosmetics are the face primer, Jelly Kylighters, pressed Body Glow, Loose Illuminating powder and the Liquid Liner. I didn’t expect so many new products! The Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection 2019 is a limited edition collection, but I’m pretty sure she’ll bring these products back later and make them permanent. This is just a fun way to introduce new products.ย
Face Primer
Before trying this face primer, I didn’t really know what to expect. I’ve tried several primers and all have different consistencies. This primer is a very hydrating one without a fragrance. It’s coming out the tube white with a slightly pinkish tint to it and when you start to blend it into the skin, it feels like it’s breaking down in a very transparent, hydrating formula. I’ve never tried a very hydrating primer before, but I really like this face primer! I have combination skin but even though I tend to be a bit more oily around the forehead and chin, my makeup still stayed on perfectly with this primer. It felt very good on the skin, very hydrating just like a moisturizer and my makeup stayed on all day in very good shape. I even went to Ariana Grande’s concert with this primer as my base, danced & sweated all night and my makeup still looked perfect. I’m not sure how this primer would perform on people with oily skin but I think people with dry skin and combination skin are really going to like this primer for sure.ย
Birthday Pressed Body Glow
It was pretty hard to capture this body glow on a picture, but I promise it’s way prettier in real life. The body glow gives you a super pretty soft glow and leaves goldish glitters. The body glow is a bit sheerer than a normal highlighter, so you’re not leaving strokes of super blinding highlighter on your body. It’s the perfect subtle glow! I even used it on my collarbones when I went to work. For the Ariana Grande concert, I went full in and put it all over my body. It gave a super stunning glow when the lights hit my arms and legs. The thing I like most about this is that it’s a powder. I love shimmering products, but most of the products I own are creamy products. It works nice, but I’m not always in the mood for stickier products. A powder is a great choice if you don’t like creamy glitter products.
Jelly Kylighters
I was very excited to try this new formula. It made me think about the Colourpop Jelly Much Shadows but instead of eyeshadows, these are highlighters. The colors are very wearable, including a pinkish shade, champagne shade, and golden shade. You definitely don’t need much of these to get a blinding glow. Pink Paper is the most subtle one, the other two shades are more blinding. I like the formula and how you can do so long with the product since you don’t need much. I’m not really digging the packaging though, but I think that’s just me. I personally would’ve preferred a tube so I can squeeze the product out. Everything I dip my finger into the little pot, I get too much product on my finger and it overall becomes a huge mess (like I’m not sure how I do it but the highlighter gets everywhere lol). But overall, I’m very impressed with how lightweight the formula is, it blends very easily and the colors are pretty.ย
Money Roll Matte Lipsticks
Even when this money roll contained the ugliest lipsticks in the world, I still would’ve bought it. I mean, this is the coolest packaging I’ve ever seen! The money roll contains 3 different lipsticks: a nude one called Money Mindset, a mid-tone pink called Hustle Honey and a vibrant hot pink called Mama Boss. You can get them individually too but if you like at least 2 of the shades, just like me, I would recommend purchasing the money roll bundle. I’m not really into vibrant colors but I do really like this vibrant hot pink. Hustle Honey is my favorite shade out of three. All three lipsticks are matte and very pigmented. You would be good with just one swipe, but I’m always applying two coats. The lipsticks are very long-wearing, I only had to reapply once I ate McDonald’s (aka very unhealthy oily food lol) but it lasted me the whole day and night. ย ย
Loose Illuminating Powder
I love the Kylie Cosmetics Loose Setting Powders and so I was very curious to try the Illuminating Powder. This powder feels and looks the same as her normal setting powders, but it has some very soft glitters in it. When applying it to the face, you can barely tell there are glitters, but it does give you a luminous look. I like it and the formula, it feels so velvety and soft and it looks stunning on the face. I’m not sure yet if I like this one more than the original powders but it’s definitely a good one if you like a more luminous look.ย
One In A Billion High Gloss
My favorite gloss formula ever: Kylie Cosmetics High Glosses. I own all the other shades already and I just love them. I’m not going very much into details because I did a full review on the High Gloss formula already. If you’re curious to read my thoughts, please feel free to check out my review here. I really like this peachy pinkish High Gloss a lot!
Liquid Liner in Black
Finally a Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Liner Pen in Black!! I was so excited to try this formula. My favorite liquid liner is definitely the Kat von D Tatto Liner in the shade Trooper and I haven’t found any liquid liner that is just as good or even better. So I took this very seriously while testing this eyeliner. I’m very picky when it comes to eyeliner since I’m just not that good in applying it and I need an easy pen. This Kylie Cosmetics liner is very very very similar to the Kat von D one! The tip of the liner is very thin and flexible, just how I like my pen. Moreover, it’s intensely black and stays on all day without smudging. My eyes are very dry lately and I have been using eye drops. Even when I use eye drops (I always tear up a bit and I kinda wet my whole eye lol) this liquid liner goes nowhere. If you’re looking for a good alternative for the Kat von D liner, I would 101% recommend the Kylie Cosmetics liner. I promise you won’t regret it. ย
Eye Glazes
I have no words for these. Since I tried the Eye Glazes for the first time when she launched them with her Summer Collection, I fell in love and I needed more of them in my life. It wasn’t a choice if I would get the ones in the Birthday Collection or not. Look at these swatches!! I’m just in love. This formula is amazing, so pigmented, so shimmery, so stunning, so easy to apply. I think I can talk for days about how much I like these. If you haven’t tried these before, please try them! You’ll be shocked.ย
Kylie Velvet Lip Kit
The Kylie Lip Kit originally launched in a matte version and it became my favorite nude lipstick very quickly. I love Kylie Cosmetics’ matte lipsticks but I prefer her velvet formula more (I’m actually still contemplating if I like her matte formula or her velvet formula more because I love them both so much). I love that Kylie did a velvet Kylie version for this years birthday collection. The lipliner is slightly darker and more beige toned than the actual lipstick. The lipstick is more pinkish nude. The lip liner and lipstick together is just the perfect match.ย
You’re So Money Baby Palette
This palette contains different formulas, from a more glittery, to metallics to mattes. All the shades are very pigmented (I messed up the Long Money swatch and the Breaking Record swatch but both these shades aren’t patchy) and I love the color scheme. I like the differences in formula and the variety of looks you can make with this. However, it’s still a pretty neutral palette with a lot of pink shades. I love it a lot but I can imagine that some people might be a bit disappointed. I’m definitely not disappointed since I love pinks. Quality-wise this is also a very good palette, it has some kickback in the pan but nothing too much. ย
If you like products from this collection, I would recommend checking out the Kylie Cosmetics website quickly. This is a limited edition collection and gone is gone.ย
Did you get anything from this collection?ย
Hope to see you next time loves,ย
xoxo Simone
Iโve never tried Kylieโs line and I donโt know why. Iโve heard mixed reviews on her skincare but her cosmetic line seems to be getting positive reviews on the regular!
Yeah her skincare line gets a lot of mixed reviews. But I feel like her cosmetics line is finally getting the love and recognition it deserves!
Iโm lost drawn to the matte lipstick bundle – love the super light pink nude shade! ?
The matte lipsticks are amazing! All three shades are stunning ๐
They look really nice products x
