Do you sometimes have these moments when you see a makeup product and you instantly fall in love? I have those moments and I really had that with the Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet Palette. Therefore, when she revealed this palette I just knew I had to get it. She later came out with 3 new lipliners and since I don’t really have a lot of lipliners, I decided to order these as well. Today I’ll be reviewing all these products!

As you all might know by now, I’m a neutral palette lover and I own a lot of them in the meantime. But even though I own a lot of different palettes, I don’t think I have a palette in my collection that looks like Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet Palette and that’s why I bought it. Besides this palette, I also bought 3 new lipliners Iced Latte, Caramel, and Coconut. Kylie added these new lipliners to the collection without a matching lipstick, which normally doesn’t happen because she sells them as a lipkit first. I really wanted to try these lipliners with lipsticks I already own and so I ended up buying these as well.

Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet Palette & 3 Lip Liners

Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet Palette

Kylie recently revealed that she’s changing the packaging from white to black. I think it’s a good decision because I feel like the black is looking really luxurious and it’s just very pretty. The white packaging is looking cheaper than the black packaging in my opinion, even though I like the white packaging as well.

So all the packaging from further products will be black and she will change the packaging from the already released products into black as well. The Sorta Sweet palette is black with golden details and logo, which is stunning in my opinion. The lipliners are sleek black and the product information is in silver. The actual color is on the top of the lipliners, which I’ll show you later in this review. I really like it! I’m excited to see how everything turns out in black packaging.

The Lip Liners Caramel, Coconut, and Iced Latte

Here’s a closer look from the lipliners packaging. Just like I said, the names and colors are on top which I think is a cute detail. Caramel is a burnt terracotta, Coconut is a warm nude rose and Iced Latte is a deep nude brown. Each lipliner contains net wt./ poids net .03 oz/ 1.0g and you can easily sharpen them with a sharpener. The retail for $12 each. Detail: you can get a Kylie sharpener for $6!

Left picture is with natural light and the right picture is with a flashlight. Top to bottom: Caramel, Coconut, and Iced Latte. When I was swatching them, I was a little surprised by how similar they look. You can see that they have different undertones but they definitely look pretty similar.  My favorite one is Coconut, I think that one is super stunning. I tried it on with Bare velvet lipstick (also from Kylie Cosmetics) and that combination is amazing. The other two shades are also very pretty. I can’t wait to try different lipsticks on top of them!

Kylie Cosmetics has my favorite lipliner formula, they’re super smooth and pigmented. The lipliners creamy texture that glides across the lips for a very easy and comfortable application. I really enjoy using them and I would recommend them if you’re looking for a new lipliner.

The Kylie Cosmetics Sorta Sweet Palette

This is the actual packaging from the Sorta Sweet palette. The carton packaging has golden details, while the actual palette has silver details and the back has white details. I like how clean it looks because I’m really a fan of the clean packaging. I like the silver drippings on the front. Normally, the drippings are in the color of the shades in the palette but I guess Kylie changed that due to the packaging change.

The inside! What a beauty! As I said, I’m so in love with the colors. This palette is everything for me and I would 100% use every shade in this palette. This palette contains 9 beautiful shades net weight / pods net 9 X 1.60 grams / 9 X 0.06 oz and costs $42. I’m so happy with this palette!

Shade description

  • Buttermilk (matte pale yellow)
  • Glazed (metallic soft gold)
  • Rose (matte soft brown)
  • Berry Bite (matte dusty mauve)
  • Sweet (metallic olive gold)
  • Cookie Dough (matte soft beige)
  • Raspberry Sugar (metallic rose bronze)
  • Cocoa (matte rich brown)
  • Spice Plum (matte deep blackened plum)

Left picture is natural light and right picture is with a flashlight. Top to bottom: Buttermilk, Glazed, Rose, Berry Bite, Sweet, Cookie Dough, Raspberry Sugar, Cocoa, Spice Plum.

All of the shades swatched super easy and smooth. No shade was patchy or chalky at all and they’re pretty pigmented. I love that this palette contains matte and metallic shades. I do think all are really pretty. The only thing I noticed is that I had a little bit of kickback in the pan and some of the pans are moving when you’re touching them.

They can spin around. Not all of the shades spin around, I just had 2 shades do it. I think it’s a production fault or something but the pans don’t fall out of the palette so it’s not really a huge problem. It is a little bit disappointing though because it’s not how it’s supposed to be. The kickback isn’t really bad, but it is there so I thought I would let you know.

Overall, I really love this palette! The color scheme is my favorite so far from all the Kylie Cosmetics palettes I own.

Product Information

Normally, I would tell you which ingredients are used but there is nothing stated about that on the Kylie Cosmetics website. I mentioned the prices before but the lipliners are $12 each (around 10 euros) and the palette is $42 (around 36 euros). You can get the palette and lipliners on www.kyliecosmetics.com.

Final Thoughts

I really like the products! First of all, the lipliners are very similar but the undertones are different. You might not need all three of them in your collection. If I had to choose, I would go for the Coconut lipliner. Furthermore, the palette is my favorite palette from Kylie Cosmetics so far, I really enjoyed it and I’m going to make a lot of perfect daytime looks with it. The only thing I’m a little disappointed about is the spinning pans. Thankfully it isn’t a huge problem when using the eyeshadow palette. If you’re looking for a gorgeous new neutral eyeshadow palette, this is the one!

  1. I really loved the shades in that eye palette as soon as I saw it <3 But at the same time I already own the ABH Soft Glam palette and I don't want to invest in more neutral palettes atm hahaha
