Kylie Skin Products, My Thoughst After 4 Weeks of Using Them | Review

I was very excited to hear that Kylie Jenner was going to launch her own skincare line Kylie Skin. However, the world thought different. I’ve heard so much negativity about her products that at first, I didn’t even want to try them. After a lot of doubt, I decided to just try them and see for myself. In today’s blog post, I’m going to share my thoughts on the Kylie Skin products after 4 weeks of using them.

When the products arrived, I asked my Twitter followers (if you don’t follow me yet, you can do so over here) if they would like to see just one review after 4 weeks of using the products or 2 separate reviews, one after 2 weeks and one after 4 weeks. They’ve decided it’s going to be 2 reviews.

As you can tell, I’ve bought the whole set so I could try out all the products. I’ve bought this set for $125 to get 6 full-size products. The products in this set are the following:

  • Foaming Face Wash which contains 5 fl oz / 149 ml
  • Walnut Face Scrub which contains 3 oz / 8.5 g

  • Vitamin C Serum which contains 0.7 fl oz / 20 ml
  • Face Moisturizer which contains 1.75 fl oz / 52 ml
  • Eye Cream which contains .57 fl oz / 17 ml

The products are available separately as well. Moreover, there are face wipes and a travel bag available as well. I’ll be walking through all the products, sharing prices, swatches, ingredients, how it felt on my skin and most importantly how I like it after 4 weeks of using the products.

Foaming Face Wash

Kylie Skin Face Wash | Review

The first product to use is the Face Wash. It’s super foamy and you don’t need much to wash your whole face. I love how foamy it is and it makes my skin so soft. Sometimes when using a face wash, it can dry out my skin but this one doesn’t. It’s different than all the face washes I tried before and so I think it’s worth the money. Moreover, it has a soft scent to it which I think is very nice and not overwhelming. After 4 weeks of using, I can say I will be repurchasing this face wash since I absolutely love it!

Walnut Face Scrub

Kylie Skin Walnut Scrub | Review

Kylie Skin Walnut Scrub | Review

This product did get the most hate on the internet since it’s a Walnut Scrub and people where saying it’s bad for the skin. I was pretty scared to try this so I started with a little bit and once a week. I think this is a very gentle scrub and I actually like it! My face scrubs have been a lot less gentle than this one, so I think it’s a nice scrub. I even used the scrub 2 times a week and it gave no irritation at all. I’m not really sure if this has a smell to it if so it’s very neutral and not intense at all. After 4 weeks of using this face scrub, I don’t think it’s bad for my skin and I think it’s truly gentle and very nice to scrub your face with. I would repurchase this too.

Vanilla Milk Toner

Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk Toner | Review
Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk Toner | Review

I really like the smell of this toner and I do like the formula. However, I don’t really like this toner. I have combination skin and my cheeks and eyes are pretty sensitive. After using the toner on my cheeks, it felt kinda irritating and drying. Therefore, if you’re someone with sensitive skin, I won’t recommend this toner. After trying the toner only on my oily spots (my t-zone) I started to like this toner a bit more, but I have to admit that after using this 4 times, I skipped it. Eventually, I think this toner could work for people with oily skin. However, this toner surprised me! After 2 weeks and only 4 times of using it, I decided to give it another chance and I liked it way better this time. I won’t be repurchasing this, but it’s not as bad as I first thought it was.

Vitamin C Serum

Kylie Skin Vitamin C Serum | Review
Kylie Skin Vitamin C Serum | Review

This serum actually feels so nice and hydrating! My skin is so glowy, soft and hydrated after using the Vitamin C Serum. It doesn’t really have a smell and it applies very easily. I think this is a nice addition to my skincare routine! After 4 weeks of using the serum, I’m pretty sure I’m repurchasing this. It makes my skin so hydrated and glowing, I love it!

Retail price $28.

Face Moisturizer

Kylie Skin Face Moisturizer | Review
Kylie Skin Face Moisturizer | Review

The moisturizer doesn’t really have a smell either. I like it, it’s hydrating and very creamy. It’s a little bit thicker than I normally would use but there’s nothing wrong with it at all. However, I do think it’s not something special either. It’s just a normal, nothing special but good moisturizer. After 4 weeks of using it, I still feel the same. I don’t think I’m going to repurchase the moisturizer. Moreover, I hate the pump… I can’t get any product out of it and have to do at least 100 attempts (this is a little overdone but you get the point lol).

Eye Cream

Kylie Skin Eye Cream | Review

Kylie Skin Eye Cream | Review

This Eye Cream is a must. I love this equally as much as I love the Face Wash BUT what I like so much about this cream is that it started to reduce my dark circles after 2 times of using it already. I’ve tried the product in a period with so much stress and less sleep, but it still made me look like I felt good. My dark circles are truly a lot less visible. This also doesn’t have a smell, is very creamy and easy to apply with the applicator. My eyes are very sensitive and products easily irritate the skin around them, but this Eye Cream makes them hydrated and not irritated at all. I love it! After 4 weeks of using it, I still am in love with this eye cream! It makes my dark circles disappear and I’m definitely going to repurchase this.

 Retail price is $20.

Ingredients

Water/Aqua/Eau, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Polyglyceryl-3 Rice Branate, Glycerin, Coconut Alkanes, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Propanediol, Cetyl Phosphate, Polyacrylate-13, Isododecane, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Polyisobutene, Mica, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Candelilla/Jojoba/Rice Bran Polyglyceryl-3 Esters, Cetyl Alcohol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate, Polyglyceryl-6 Ricinoleate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Punica Granatum Extract, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Ethylhexylglycerin, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Polysorbate 20, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Sorbitan Isostearate, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lactobacillus Ferment, Caffeine, Tocopherol, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Seed Oil, Citric Acid

Overall Thoughts

After 4 weeks of using the products, overall I really like them. Are these products super special? I don’t think so. However, the Face Wash, Walnut Scrub, Eye Cream, and Vitamin C Serum are definitely worth your money. I’m definitely going to repurchase these products.

I’m pretty sure I’m not going to repurchase the Moisturizer and Vanilla Milk Toner. The moisturizer is not bad at all, but since it’s not special either I don’t think it’s necessary. Even though, I ended up liking the toner a bit more I still don’t think I need another one. It’s definitely not a bad first launch and I do think a lot of people are going to enjoy these products a lot, just like me!

A little disclaimer: my skin has been pretty bad while I was testing out the products. I don’t think it is because of the products but just stress and hormones. I can’t show you before and after pictures since that wouldn’t give an honest perspective on these products.

Hope to see you next time loves,

xoxo Simone

I was wondering about this! So funny USA obsessed and Dutch! I am from the US and living in Amsterdam!!! 😀 Was it expensive shipping or tax wise to get these here? 🙂

Omg really?! That’s so funny! How do you like it in Amsterdam? 🙂
In the end, it is pretty expensive though. I think I paid $14.95 for shipping and I had to pay taxes/a custom charge of around 40 euros.
