Lanolips Lip Balm
Lanolips Lip Balm In Strawberry

The Lanolips Lip Balm in Strawberry does precisely what it’s supposed to do: hydrate the lips. When using this a couple of times, you will notice that chapped, dry lips are a thing of the past. The consistency is thicker, but it is still comfortable to wear.

  • Thicker consistency, yet comfortable and nice
  • It feels instantly hydrating to the lips
  • It makes my lips feel soft and smooth
  • It has a soft scent (which isn’t a con to me personally)

Lanolips Lip Balm In Strawberry Review

The Lanolips Lip Balm in Strawberry comes in cute soft pink packaging with a little strawberry. Obviously, the other shades have their color matching the fruit (Peach is peachy, Green Apply is green, etc.) and also have a little fruit symbol.

The hole in the tube is bigger than I have ever seen in a lip balm before, so I was curious to find out how I would like this compared to a “normal” sized hole.

The Lanolips Lip Balm in Strawberry has a yellow tint when squeezing the product out of the tube, but once applied to the lips, it’s just a transparent lip balm. It has a pretty glossy finish, so if you want to, you could wear it on top of a lip liner, lipstick, or alone.

It might’ve been could if the product had a matching color as well, so in the case of Strawberry, a soft pink or red tint yet translucent on the lips would’ve been cool. Not necessary, just a thought.

The formula is on the thicker side but is still creamy and lightweight. It’s not too thick where it is uncomfortable. It’s a very pleasant formula on the lips and instantly makes my lips feel less dry.

I also really love how this formula isn’t sticky or greasy; it’s just hydrating without any unpleasant cons. A very comfortable, easy-to-apply, and effective formula. I totally understand why so many people love this, I’m hooked too!

The scent is there but not overwhelming at all. It has a lovely yet soft scent, which I think is nice and not bothering me when I have this on my lips. I know some of you might dislike a scent, but as this is really soft, it’s not a no-go, in my opinion.

The formula gets absorbed into the lips pretty quickly, but you will still feel it on the lips when you rub your lips together. So even though it’s quickly giving a hydration boost, your lips don’t feel like they need more soon after applying. It’s pretty long-lasting, I would say.

After a few uses, your dry, chapped lips are gone when using this Lanolips Lip Balm!

I personally like to apply this straight from the tube onto my lips, but you could squeeze out some product and apply it to the lips with your fingers as well.

Application is easy because the tube has quite a big hole compared to what I’m used to, so enough product comes out of the tube with one soft squeeze.

I don’t think it’s that much different compared to a normal-sized hole in a lip balm tube. I don’t really see any pros or cons; both types of tubes work well, in my opinion.

This product can also be used on other dry parts of your body, such as skin patches, cuticles, elbows & more, but I haven’t tried that. I like to use my products for one specific purpose and I feel like this works really well as a lip balm for me. However, I do think it’s awesome that you can use this for multiple purposes as well.

As I already said, this lip balm lasts quite a long time. Even when you feel it’s getting absorbed, your lips will still have a little layer of product and will feel moisturized for hours. A little goes a long way with this formula, so you don’t need much product at all.

I like to apply this during the day or at night. Obviously, it stays on longer during the night since I don’t eat or drink, so if you want maximum hydration, I recommend using it at night.

  • Summer Fridays Lip Balms: The Summer Fridays Lip Balms are lightweight and less thick than Lanolips 101. It depends on your personal preferences whether this is a pro or a con, though. For example, the Summer Fridays balms might be more suitable for during-the-day hydration, and Lanolips would be a perfect nighttime solution.
  • rhode skin peptide lip treatment: Compared in thickness, I think the rhode lip treatment and the Lanolips Lip Balm are quite similar. The rhode formula is slightly more liquid and less waxy than Lanolips. Again, it depends on your preferences whether this is a pro or a con, but I hope this helps with making a decision.

Final Verdict

The Lanolips Lip Balm in Strawberry does precisely what it’s supposed to do: hydrate the lips. When using this a couple of times, you will notice that chapped, dry lips are a thing of the past. The consistency is thicker, but it is still comfortable to wear. I would recommend using this during the night for maximum hydration.

It’s not the same thing, but Lanolin is used in Lanolips products.

It’s in the Lanolips’ name: lanolin, the naturally-occurring wax on sheep’s wool that helps keep them dry and protected. It’s traditionally been used as a nipple cream for nursing people, but it’s good for chapped lips and dry skin all over your body.
