I really felt like I needed another Life Admin Day to get my life together just before my vacation. I’m writing this ahead, so when you read this I’m already at my destination (even almost back home lol). But before I leave, I have to fix some things and I’ll be sharing these with you today. How did my Life Admin Day look this time?
I’ve written a Life Admin Day before, which you can check out here if you want too. This kind of blog post idea is inspired by Youtuber muchelleb. She’s always motivating me to do stuff when I do not really feel like it through her Youtube videos. I really love her Life Admin Day videos so much that I wanted to do these myself too, but in a blog post way.
As I said before, since I’m going on holiday very soon and I just felt like I really needed to get things done, that’s why I’m doing one of these. A Life Admin Day means that you’ll block a full day to do all of the things you need to do, want to do, things you were procrastinating on, etc.
The tips Michelle gave in her video are:
- Appointments: how’s your car doing? Do you need to see a doctor, dentist, psychologist? When was your last nails/hair/brows appointment? Do you need to plan a new appointment any time soon?
- Organizing: how is your desk looking? Do you need to declutter/organize? Do you have enough stationary? Are there any things you need?
- Upcoming events: do you have any events coming up? Do you need to start planning for them? Are there any emails you still need to reply to?
By the way, it’s okay if you won’t be able to do all these things on your list in one day. It’s important to just do them and if you need to plan 2 days or even more, that’s totally fine. If your most productive in the morning, you can plan to do your tasks on different mornings. All is up to you, as long as you keep yourself to it.
Life Admin Day #2 | Getting Things Done
First of all, I’m always making a list with things I want to do. I write down as many things as I can remember. Besides the fact that I have a to-do list, this also helps me to get my mind empty. All of the things I need to do are on paper now and I can focus to finish them. So for example, this is how my to-do list looks like:
- Hairdresser appointment
- Waxing appointment
- Organizing & cleaning my vanity
- Organizing & cleaning my desk
- Wash my makeup brushes
- Send back not fitting clothes
- Pay after pay bills
- Check my mailbox
Upcoming events – Turkey
- Order bikini/bathing suit
- Order cream + waterproof mascara
- Order shoes
- Get waterproof eyeliner + sunscreen in store
- Music in iPod
- Books on e-Reader
It’s pretty much focused on my holiday, as you can see. I started with planning some appointments just like the hairdresser, so I have a fresh cut for I leave and a waxing appointment. This is my first time waxing ever but I’ve been wanting to do so for very long so I decided last minute to make an appointment so I’ll be hair free this holiday.
Both these appointments are easily made through online booking so this was very quick to do. Then I started washing my brushes. I hate to do this, but it’s so necessary once in a while. Plus it’s nice to have clean brushes for my holiday. Now my vanity is a little bit more clear (my brushes are on my vanity), it’s a good time to clean and organize my vanity. I’ll be decluttering my vanity after my holiday but for now, I just want to make it a bit more organized. Same goes for my desk, just a little bit more organized and clean before I leave.
Next up is ordering swimwear, cream, waterproof mascara and shoes. I’m pretty late this year because I just didn’t realize it’s summer already lol. Time went by so fast! So I ordered some things to try on and hopefully, everything will be fine. Things, like sending clothes back and paying bills, are things I need to wait with, but after I received everything I’ll be doing that immediately.
That’s how far I came with my Life Admin Day! I love these days, I’m always very productive and I feel great after I’ve done a lot of things. Hope this will motivate you too!
Hope to see you next time loves,
