I’m very picky when it comes to my hair. For so long I’ve been wanting to grow my hair as long as it is now. Since it’s finally the length I love, I want to make sure I take good care of it. Sometimes my hair can look a bit dead so I thought, why not try the L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in cream?

A little disclaimer, I have a very sensitive scalp and I can’t handle a lot of shampoos. This makes it a bit harder to find a nice shampoo. However, I like trying out new products to find the best shampoo for my sensitive scalp.

Another thing I have to keep in mind when trying new products and see if I like them is that my hair tends to be greasy pretty quick if I’m not using the right product.

Elvive Dream Lengths

L’Oréal came out with a new line: Elvive Dream Lengths, which comes with a Shampoo, Conditioner and leave-in cream. I’ve tried this combination for several weeks now and wanted to share my thoughts!

This is how the packaging looks like. I don’t know if these products will be available in other countries but I bought them in Kruidvat which is a Dutch store. The packaging gives me summer vibes because of the bright orange and pink. I like it! Moreover, The smell of the products is amazing!

These products are made for girls (or boys) with long hair who are struggling to get their dream length because of split ends and/or hair breakage. These products promise to repair your hair so you won’t have to cut it.

This is what stated on their website:

Dreaming of beautiful long hair but struggling to achieve your dream lengths? And does the appearance of split ends and hair breakage make you feel like you need a haircut?
The longer your hair gets, the more it goes through and the more damaged it becomes. Split ends appear and you feel like you need to trim your tips. What if  you could protect your hair and help reinforce its lengths?
Discover Elvive Dream Lengths, enriched with a cocktail of Keratin, Vitamins and Castor Oil.

The star product is the No Haircut Cream. The formula helps to reduce the appearance of split ends and reduce breakage from brushing*. Say no to cutting your ends!

I’ve been trying these three products for a month now and I’m satisfied. My hair feels soft after using it, the smell of all three products is very nice and my hair gets a nice healthy shine to it. I haven’t been to a hairdresser in a year so my hair looks kinda damaged and I have split ends. This makes testing out the products interesting because we can see if you really don’t have to see a hairdresser again.

I’m 100% sure you still need a cut once in a while to keep your hair healthy. Yes, these three products are very nice but it’s not healing my hair all of a sudden. I still have split ends but they’ll disappear for a while when using the cream. Sadly, the split ends come back. So yeah, I still need to go to a hairdresser to make sure my hair is healthy.

These products will contain keeping your healthy though and I do really like the products. Are they super special? No, not really. The most special product out of these three is the cream since it helps to cover your split ends. The shampoo and conditioner are in my opinion nice, but very basic. I think there are a lot of other options out there which also leaves your hair very soft and healthy-looking.

If you don’t want to buy all the three products I would recommend the No Haircut Cream. You can use this cream on wet or dry hair and it immediately makes your hair look good with less split ends.

  1. I think even for someone who wasn’t trying to grow their hair out, the cream would be great. Who wouldn’t want less split ends in winter. that would be the real test.

  2. Don’t you love it when things go right? That’s cool! I like to keep a bottle of SILK leave in conditioner in my bathroom medicine cabinet to apply to my hair’s ends. It’s nice and thick and very moisturizing.
