A new MAC formula? Oh yes, I’m here to test the new MAC Powder Kiss Lipsticks! I love the original matte MAC lipsticks a lot, but I’m always in to try something different.
Based on the promotion material, these Powder Kiss Lipsticks sound like a very innovative formula, and this is intriguing. Is it really that special? I’m sharing my thoughts in today’s blog post.

I don’t know about you, but MAC truly is my OG lipstick brand, and I think they always will be. The only thing that I hate is that they’re still not cruelty-free. However, I can’t hold myself back from buying their products, and that’s exactly why I have a review of the MAC Powder Kiss Lipsticks for you.
Let’s see if this lipstick formula is any different than we have tried or seen before from MAC or other brands!
MAC Powder Kiss Lipsticks

How To Apply

MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick Swatches & Review
The shades I got are Sultriness, Teddy 2.0, and Sultry Move. As you can tell, they all have some sort of pinkish undertone as this is my favorite type of nude. Sultriness is a true baby blue pink, Teddy 2.0 is a deep-tone beige, and Sultry Move is bright rose brown. All three shades are stunning but I think Sultry Move is m favorite!
I personally really love the MAC lipstick smell, that the Powder Kiss formula has too, but I can imagine not everyone appreciating the smell AND taste, it tastes like sugar too lol. I don’t mind the smell that much but the taste is a little too much, to be honest. Keep this in mind if you hate fragrances in makeup products because the smell isn’t dominating but it is definitely there.
It’s supposed to be a soft-focus, blurring formula but I think they’re pretty pigmented. At first, I expected them to be sheerer. However, the formula is indeed very lightweight, non-drying and even blurring my lip lines a bit. They’re very comfortable on the lips while looking perfectly, blurred and matte.
Do I think that this is a super unique and different formula than the normal matte MAC lipsticks? I personally don’t think so. Do I like this formula? Yes, I do! I have nothing bad to say about these only for the fact that I don’t think they’re as unique as I thought they may be.

- Makeup By Mario Ultra Suede Lipstick: The Ultra Suede Lipsticks are also very comfortable matte-looking lipsticks that have the same amount of pigmentation but stay on my lips a little longer, 3-4 hours without eating/drinking than the MAC Powder Kiss Lipsticks. The Ultra Suede Lipsticks have the same, blurring effect as the Powder Kiss Lipsticks.
- Rose Inc Satin Lip Color Rich Refillable Lipstick: Another very comfortable, matte to satin-looking lipstick. that really moisturizes the lips but doesn’t look balmy or glossy at all. It’s not completely matte looking though but when applied with a brush or dabbing onto the lips it ends up looking matte. Unlike MAC, Rose Inc is a clean beauty brand that is cruelty-free.
Final Verdict
The MAC Powder Kiss Lipsticks are a very comfortable, pigmented, lightweight, and non-drying MAC formula. It’s quite long-wearing, about 2-3 hours without eating/drinking, and fades without hash lines but it isn’t transfer-proof. It’s an easy-to-use, matte-looking lipstick but it isn’t extraordinary in my opinion.
The MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick is just is a very nice, basic but pretty-looking lipstick that’s definitely worth it if you want to try something else from MAC or love a blurring type of lipstick.

I have the same feeling about these lipsticks!! The taste is so intense, but it is such a nice formula to wear. However, I do still grab my matte lipsticks more before I use the Powder Kiss Lipstick 🙂
