I love a good and affordable alternative, so I wanted to find out if the Modelones Gel Polishes were a steal or not. Thankfully, Modelones gifted me their Pink Lipstick Series Gel Polish Starter Kit for me to try. It should include everything for a fabulous, perfect-looking manicure or pedicure. I’m excited!

I noticed immediately that the Gel Polish stayed sticky after one round under the LED light; it didn’t feel as if it was completely dry. I decided to use the LED light twice, which helped to dry the base and top coat. This means I would recommend doing rounds of 2x 60 seconds for the best results.
The included mini LED light, with its 6W power, cures the gel polish, but as I said, it probably isn’t strong enough to dry the polishes with just 1x 60 seconds. If you really want a powerful drying LED light, I would consider buying the bigger Modelones LED Light.
However, if you plan on taking the set with you on trips, vacations, or any other travels, this mini LED Light is super convenient. It just takes a little longer (yet, it’s drying quicker than a normal nail polish).

Chanvi Gel Polish – This isn’t an available option for everyone, but my nail stylist has launched her gel polish line (and asked me to take photos of them, so cool!). She has been using these Gel Polishes on me for a while now, and they’re amazing! They stay on perfectly for four weeks, and the colors are unique.
OPI Gel Nail Polish – OPI was my go-to nail polish brand before my acrylic nails because their regular nail polishes were the only ones that stayed on for five days without chipping, so I’m always trusting OPI with great polishes.
CND Shellac – my pedicure salon uses these polishes on my toenails, and I have had only great experiences with these gel polishes. I haven’t tried these myself yet (as in actually using them on myself, lol), but I’ve heard only great things about these gel polishes.
