I love to moisture my skin and I’m looking for the right products all the time. Since I enjoyed my Milk Makeup products and hadn’t tried any of their skincare products, I felt the need to actually go for some skincare products. I went ahead a bought a couple of different products to review. Today we’re going to talk about the Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil.

Weirdly enough, I’ve never done a Milk Makeup review on my blog before so it’s about time to talk about this brand. I mean, I did mention them in my Black Friday haul but this brand definitely deserves a full in-depth review. Just so you know, this might be the first review but it won’t be the last! I have a couple of more goodies which I’ll be reviewing and sharing soon!
Milk Makeup was founded by Milk cofounder Mazdack Rassi, product developer and COO Dianna Ruth, seasoned Milk Girl and creative director Georgie Greville, and beauty + fashion editor and E! News correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi.
All aspects of the line are developed in-house at Milk Studios, their downtown NYC home. They see personal style and experimentation as the ultimate forms of self-expression.

Moisture with Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil
My skin was so dry a couple of weeks ago! I’ve never experienced this in my life since my skin always tends to be more oily than dry. So I was like ‘what do I do now?!’ and figured I needed some very hydrating products.
I’ve always been scared to use oil because of my normal to combination skin and I thought oily products would make my skin break out. I think I did try oilier products when I was younger and this indeed causes some breakouts so I was like never again!!
But my skin has slightly changed over the years and even though I still have normal to combination skin, I feel like my skin needs more hydration now then it did a couple of years ago. I did found this out a bit too late because all of a sudden I had the worst tight skin and some places even started to flake. Yeah, this shocked me. This might be something people with dry skin recognize but I, who never experienced this before, was slightly panicking on how to treat this lol.
So I came across this Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil and I was a bit doubtful because what if I would breakout? What if this is too oily or too moisturizing for my skin? However, I felt like my skin was so dry I thought I could at least try it at this point.
The thing I really enjoy about Milk Makeup is their packaging! You can easily roll the product straight on the face. I do use my hands to massage the product into the skin or I use my Fourth Ray Beauty face roller for this (review coming soon!).
After applying the product, I feel like my skin soaks it up quickly and my skin feels hydrated and soft afterward. The oil leaves some shine to the face so I wouldn’t really recommend using this in the morning because you would tend to look oily. However, it doesn’t feel oily or gross at all. Just to be sure, I like to apply this before bed for some good moisture.
This product is a multi-use product and can be used for hair or brows too. I didn’t try this myself but I actually wouldn’t really want to put this onto my hair, to be honest. It’s perfect for moisturizing the face but I’m not sure how my hair would react to this. I think it would make my hair look super greasy but if you would like some shine to your hair, you do you lol.
Did this product moisture my face enough to help with my dryness? Yes, it did. I have to say that I did use this in combination with the Glossier Rich Moisturizing cream, but so far I feel like I needed this product to make sure my skin was hydrated enough.
My skin actually isn’t that dry anymore after using the Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil and Glossier Rich Moisturizing cream for a couple of weeks! I now use the Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil every other day or when I feel like I can use some extra hydration and this works wonders!
Oh, and when it comes to breakouts, I didn’t have any! My skin reacted normal to this product and I actually think it even helped me clear my skin a bit. I mean, as you can tell I’m pretty hyped about this product!
Did you ever try Milk Makeup skincare products? What’s your favorite product to moisture your skin? I’d love to know!
