Skincare routines are hard. Like, really hard. Brands sometimes confuse me by promoting a new product telling me that I have a skincare problem I didn’t know I had. That in combination with my own skin type and my skin preferences for products, it is a struggle. However, I found a night routine that I’m confident about and I know works well for my skin. I’m so excited to bring you all the details about my skincare night routine!

This post may contain affiliate links that, if clicked and you make a purchase, earn me a small commission at no additional cost to you. However, I will only ever recommend products/services that I love, and feel are valuable to my audience. In addition to that, my opinions are my own and always honest. Visit Beautymone’s affiliate disclaimer page for more info.

I have combination to normal skin and I figured out that the products I use in my night routine work for my skin type. Sadly, I can’t promise you it’ll work for your skin type as well. However, I’ll talk a bit about the products I use and why I love them and I’ll link the products I’ve reviewed before so it’s easy for you to do your research and decide if this night routine contains products you would like to try as well.

The reason why I’m sharing my night routine is that I like to see what products other people are using and if I can upgrade my own skincare routine with these products. I hope this post can help you with choosing the right products for your night routine, inspire you to try new products or start a night routine if you don’t have one just yet.

If you’ve got any questions about the products I’m using, please don’t hesitate to ask me about them. Leave a comment and I’ll make sure I respond as quickly as possible. 🙂 Obviously, I’m not a dermatologist so I can only explain more about my own experiences. I’ll make sure to link the products I use and drop them in the ‘shop this post’ widget at the end of this post so you can check them out easily.

My Skincare Night Routine

My Skincare Night Routine

1. Removing Makeup

The first step in my routine is removing my makeup with makeup remover. I use a reusable makeup remover pad and the Glossier Milky Oil Makeup Remover to remove the first layer of makeup. This product is a combination of micellar water and weightless oil. It feels like it dissolves the makeup and makes it easy to wipe off, without any rubbing.

2. Wash my face

The next step in my night routine is washing my face. I have a couple of favorite face wash products so I actually have 2 in the shower right now, the Tatcha The Deep Cleanse and the Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleaners. Outside the shower, I use my Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. I also really love the Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash, which I have as a back up once one of these 3 face washes/cleansers are empty. The thing all 4 products have in common is that they’re soft to the skin, not leaving the skin feeling dry and makes my skin super soft and clean.

3. Toner

I have to admit that I’m not using a toner every day but I think it’s a nice addition to my skincare routine. I mostly use this for my t-zone since that part is a bit oilier than my cheeks.  The toner I use at the moment is the Glossier Solution. I feel like this toner is preventing breakouts in my t-zone area, where I normally have some pimples every now and then. The other toner I like is the Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk toner, but I don’t really see any differences in my skin texture when using that toner.

4. Serum/Oil

I’m switching a lot between serums and oils because I love all the products I own. I decide which product I would like to use that day based on how my skin is feeling. If it’s feeling normal, I like to use the Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil or the Glossier Super Glow Serum. If I feel like my skin needs quick hydration I’ll go for the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 serum

5. Eye Cream

One of my favorite eye creams has to be the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream. I really love this cream a lot. For full details, check out my Banana Bright Eye Cream review. The other eye cream is love a lot is the Eye Cream from Kylie Skin. Both eye creams give my under eyes a brightening effect which I like!

6. Moisturizing

Right now, I like to use a thicker moisturizer because it’s winter and I feel like my skin needs it. I’m using another moisturizer in the morning though but for my night routine moisturizer, I use the Glossier Priming Moisturize Rich Cream. It does smell like lavender and I hate that smell lol, but the cream is worth it!

7. Face Roller

Last but not least, I like to roll in the skincare products with my Fourth Ray Beauty Rose Quartz Face Roller. I really like the refreshing feeling after using the roller and it helps the product to sink into the skin. It’s a very relaxing last step in my skincare night routine!

That’s how my night routine looks like. How does your skincare routine look like at night? Which products do you like to use? Let me know in the comments.

Awww, so nice to read this skincare post and it seems you use a few products I want/already use! You should check out the Pixi Glow Tonic – it’s incredible. I want to try Glossier skincare so much and it seems like you’re a big fan, which has strengthened my case lol. Interestingly, I use the same Ole Henriksen eye cream and I’m really not fussed about it. I think maybe I’d get on better with a different eye cream?

I definitely want and need to try out more Pixi skincare products! Glossier is an amazing brand and worth the money for sure. Oh, that’s a bummer that you don’t like the Ole Henriksen eye cream. Is it the formula or does it not do much? You might want to try the Kylie Skin eye cream if you’re looking for a brightening effect (all though if you have sensitive skin I wouldn’t recommend trying it) or e.l.f Eye Cream. The e.l.f. one didn’t do much brightening but it was very hydrating and nice though.

I really want to try out products from Ole Henriksen, Tatcha and Drunk Elephant! My nighttime skincare routine consists of a Clean and Clear cleanser, Origins toner, Pixi retinol serum, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, and Neutrogena water gel.

Sounds like a lovely routine! I have been wanting to try the Pixi serum, it’s on my list for when I’m running out of serums. 🙂
