For this year National Lipstick Day, Huda Beauty had a BOGO sale. If you don’t know what BOGO means, it stands for buy one, get one (free). This means that I got 10 lipsticks for the price of 5! I mean, that’s a great deal, isn’t it? In today’s post, I’m going to show you the 10 lipsticks I’ve bought.
Since I already did a Huda Beauty (Matte, Demi Matte, Lip Strobe) liquid lipsticks review & a bullet lipsticks review, I won’t be reviewing them in full detail again. You might want to check out the reviews:
Normally I would’ve paid $227 for these but I got the cheapest 5 lipsticks for free so I had to pay $125.
Huda Beauty is in the grey area whether the brand is cruelty-free or not. Their website says “Whilst our products are not officially certified as ‘cruelty-free’ we can confirm that we do not conduct or commission animal testing on ingredients, formulations or finished products.”. However, they’ve never provided their complete animal testing policy.
Some of the Huda Beauty products are vegan friendly. This includes the Lip Strobes (only Shameless, Enchanting, Posh, Foxy, Saucey & Boujee), all the Demi Matte lipsticks, and the Diamond Balms (only Seductress, Negligee, Dirty Thoughts, Censored & Lace Panty). Lip Strobes, Demi Matte & Silk Lip Balm
Only the Silk Lip Balm is a new addition to my collection from these 4. I use this lip balm every single day and I absolutely love it. My lips feel super soft, hydrated, and less texture if this makes sense. I had more wrinkles in my lips before I started using this lip balm, they’re a lot smoother now. I love it!
If you’ve read my other Huda Beauty reviews, you know I really like their Lip Strobe and Demi Matte formula so I’m not going into full detail about them. I had to add more shades to my collection because I love them.
Diamond Lip Balms
I have to admit that I expected these Diamond Lip Balms to be a little more pigmented but they’re basically sheer with glitter in them. It was hard to capture them on my arm since they’re that sheer and they basically look the same.
I wanted to make lip swatches but this was just impossible. You can’t see a color payoff and the glitters aren’t really visible either. Besides them not showing up, I do really like the formula! They’re soft, smooth, and creamy. They feel hydrated on the lips. However, since they’re basically a lip balm with glitter in it, I don’t think I would repurchase them. $25 for just a lip balm you can also get at a drugstore for way less is a little bit too much for me.
But not going to lie, they look stunning!
Power Bullet Matte Lipsticks
I swatched these without a swatch stencil so they aren’t the prettiest but I cleaned the end of the swatches up so they kinda look cute haha.
These lipsticks are my favorite formula ever. A BOGO sale is a great way to stock up on your favorites or buy new shades. In my case, I expanded my Huda Beauty lipstick collection. I already had 3 shades and I added these 4! I absolutely love the colors, the formula, and pigmentation of them.
