I have been testing several new beauty products in the last month and I thought it would be fun to compare them and rank them from favorite to least favorite product of the month of May. The products I’m mentioning in this post, are the products I tested and wrote about on the blog last month so this is basically a round-up post to share my favorites with you.
I thought a post like this would be fun because it’s a summary post as well as forcing me to rank the beauty products from best to worst picking only the products of this month. This means that all products can be good, all of them could be horrible or both! Moreover, if you’re not that into reading full reviews you’ll be going to love this post!
this month’s new beauty products ranking
In the last month, I tested 6 new (to my collection, not all of them are new on the market) beauty products that I’m going to rank. I’m starting with my number one and slowly go down to my least favorite of them all.
1 | Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint: this product was a huge hit for me! Normally I don’t really like the Fenty Beauty skin products (the foundation or the concealer for example) but this product has been my go-to every single day since I first tried it. It makes my skin look natural but with a blurred effect, it’s super lightweight so I barely feel that I have it on, and is transfer-proof too. This product is a staple in my collection and I’m pretty sure I’ll be wearing this all summer! Shop the Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint here.
2 | bareMinerals Gen Nude Blonzers: I love multipurpose products and this is one of them! The bareMinerals Blonzers are blush and bronzer in one and even though I was a bit skeptical at first, it does what it promises. Especially the shades Kiss of Copper and Kiss of Rose are the perfect blush and bronzer in one. They make a great multipurpose product, look very summery with their slight glowy finish, aren’t powdery, and blend out seamlessly. Shop the Gen Nude Blonzers here.
3 | e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty Blushes: so I haven’t been buying drugstore products for a while since I didn’t find products catch my eye. But the e.l.f. Putty Blushes quickly did after I saw their colors and how much people were loving this formula. These blushes are buildable, lightweight, easy to apply, natural-looking, and travel-friendly due to their size. They’re not super long-wearing, the lighter shades started to fade away on me after a couple of hours. That’s why they’re in place number 3 in this ranking. Shop the Putty Blushes here.
4 | Remedy Nails Nail Polishes: the only reason why I put those nail polishes at this place is the price point since those nail polishes are on the pricier side. However, I do really like that they’re using organic, natural ingredients and the nail polish shades are stunning. They have a wide variety of stunning shades so there’s always going to be a color you’ll like. My mom and grandma also really loved these nail polishes! Shop the nail polishes here.
5 | Maybelline Sky High Mascara: even though this mascara works pretty well and I like the effect it gives, the transferring is too much in my opinion and that’s why it’s in the 5th place. The mascara does what it’s promised, makes my lashes look long and full, but loses their power in a couple of hours and my lashes start to bow down again a bit. The transferring is bad but it might not happen to you if you have bigger eyes/more eyelid space than I do. Shop the Sky High Mascara here.
6 | Hollywood Browzer Dermaplaning & Hair Removal Tool: I had a hard time picking the product for the last place. I was doubting between this and the Sky High Mascara but ended up putting this tool on the 6th and last place. I do like this tool but I use it for my eyebrows only because it left my face feeling a bit tight and dehydrated. It works fine for my eyebrows though and I like how I can get them to look pretty sharp with this tool.
I have normal skin, which tends to be combination skin every now and then (dry cheeks, oilier T-zone) so I assume that if I have a dry feeling skin after using this tool all over the face, I think it wouldn’t be a product for people with actual dry or sensitive skin. However, using this for just the brows I really recommend! Shop the Dermaplaning & Hair Removal tool here. Use code BEAUTYMONE20 for 20% off your entire order!
