Ofra Highlighter in Pillow Talk
If you’re a blinding glow lover, you’ll absolutely love Ofra Highlighters in general! Pillow Talk is a gorgeous shade for people with pale to light skin tones and will make an impact. The price tag of this highlighter is a little insane to me. Overall, the application, ease of use, formula, texture, and longevity are all fantastic, making this Ofra Cosmetics Pillow Talk highlighter worth it (but wait for a sale).

Pros
  • Gorgeous icy-pink, unique color
  • Super pigmented and blinding
  • Easy to use and work with
  • Not accentuating pores or texture
Cons
  • Expensive for a highlighter
  • It’s a powder, so it’s less natural-looking

When you thought that only Charlotte Tilbury owned products with the name Pillow Talk, you were wrong! Ofra Cosmetics is well-known for its stunning highlighters, as they truly make you blind by their glow lol, and one of them is called Pillow Talk. A gorgeous, icy-pink highlighter perfect for light skin tones.

I’ve been wanting this highlighter for a long time, but the $35 price tag was holding me back. I don’t really like spending that much money on a highlighter. However, now that I did spend my money, I hope I can help you decide whether it’s worth your money too. Keep on reading to find out!

Ofra Highlighter in Pillow Talk

You’ll feel like you’ve hit cloud eight, nine, and ten in this soft pearl pink glow maker” is what’s stated on the Ofra Cosmetics website. “Glow forever in our highlighters created with powerful pearl pigments that are pressed from liquid to baked. What does this mean for your glow goals? The luminosity from the pearls in the formula provides an unparalleled shine and pigment payoff that melts into the skin without looking cakey or powdery.”

How To Apply

Apply to the high points of the face to give the appearance of more lifted features and a glowing, radiant complexion. Use a fan brush to create more subtle lit from within glow, or spotlight those cheeks with a smaller brush to really shine.

Things To Note

The Ofra Highlighter in Pillow Talk is cruelty-free, vegan, and refillable. Hit Pan? Just remove the pan and get yourself a refill to swap with the panned highlighter. Easily remove this pan by inserting a bobby pin in the small hole at the bottom of the compact. Super easy!

Ofra Cosmetics has updated its packaging to a gorgeous, all-white, and more luxurious packaging. In this post, you can still see their old packaging though. If you’re deciding to get one, you’ll obviously have the ones with the white, sleek packaging.

Where To Buy

The Ofra Pillow Talk Highlighter is available on their own website ofracosmetics.com, Ulta, and Beauty Bay.

Ofra Highlighter in Pillow Talk Swatches & Review

I personally really like the color, however, I’m aware that only pale to light skin tones can pull off this as a highlighter. It can look like a white swipe on your cheek if it’s too light for your skin tone so I would definitely not recommend it to anyone that has more of a light to medium or darker skin tone.

The formula of this highlighter is a powder but it doesn’t look powdery. the finish is almost wet-like and doesn’t really accentuate any texture, pores, or imperfections which is great. However, it still is a powder so it lays on top of your makeup instead of really blending into the skin. This can make the highlighter look less natural but this doesn’t mean that it looks bad, that’s definitely not the case.

The pigmentation of the Ofra Highlighter in Pillow Talk is insane and very good. If you love to glow and blind people, this will make your heart beat faster for sure. It’s really out there, which might not come as a surprise since the Ofra highlighters are a favorite of NikkieTutorials (aka the Queen of Glow).

If you’re more into a soft, natural-looking glow I wouldn’t recommend this highlighter or any highlighter from Ofra in general. I truly believe that if you apply this with a light hand, very carefully, and with a fitting brush, it can look subtle. But it requires a little bit more effort, while other brands have more fitting subtle options for you.

Alternatives

  • Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in the shade Enchant: Even though Pillow Talk is a powder highlighter, I think this Rare Beauty Liquid Highlighter makes a great alternative for it shade-wise. The Liquid Luminizers aren’t really comparable to Pillow Talk when it comes to the formula, but the Liquid Luminizers are so good and worth checking out!
  • Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Highlighter in the shade Romance Light: It might be in the name lol, but this Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Highlighter has a similar shade and finish but is less blinding. If you’re looking for a natural, soft icy pink glow you’ll love this one!

Final Verdict

If you’re a blinding glow lover, you’ll absolutely love Ofra Highlighters in general! Pillow Talk is such a gorgeous shade for people with pale to light skin tones and will definitely make an impact. The price tag of this highlighter is a little insane to me, as it’s in the Charlotte Tilbury and Natasha Denona price range which are both luxury brands and I personally think Ofra Cosmetics is more of a high-end brand. The quality is great though so it doesn’t have to be priced like a drugstore highlighter.

Overall, the application, ease of use, formula, texture, and longevity are all amazing which makes this Ofra Cosmetics Pillow Talk highlighter worth it. I would suggest getting it during a sale (Ofra has a 50% off sale once a year so keeps an eye out for that) to save quite some money while benefitting from the great quality. that’s a win-win, right?!
