As we all know by now, I love a good neutral eyeshadow palette. When I first discovered the brand a while ago, I knew that the Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette had to become a part of my collection. This palette was actually the first product I’ve bought from Persona Cosmetics so this could be a good or bad first impression of the brand. I’ve been using this palette for months now and I’m ready to spill the tea!

A couple of months ago, I never heard of Persona Cosmetics before. Thankfully I got introduced to the brand by reading the review from The Newbury Girl, check it out here. I got very interested in the brand and not that long after that, I bought my first two products. The Identity Palette and Zuma Highlighter.

The title of this blog post actually refers to the packaging of the Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette, since you can see the Eiffel Tower and Parisian streets, with a Parisian woman as well. I love the Parisian vibes of this palette!

This review got pushed back a couple of times because of new launches, collaborations and I didn’t want to spam you with only eyeshadow palette reviews lol but this gave me the time to test the palette even longer.

Since this is my first Persona Cosmetics review, I would love to introduce the brand to you and share a little background information before we dive into the actual review.

Persona Cosmetics

Founded by makeup artist and beauty blogger Sona Gasparian and her aerospace engineer husband Kasra, Persona Cosmetics is makeup made personal. Inspired by Sona’s decade-long experience in makeup artistry and her online beauty community, Persona is designed to capture & empower every aspect of your many personas.

Because Persona Cosmetics is an independent indie brand, they’re not bound to the demands of shareholders or mega-corporations. They’re in it for beauty. For the transformative power —both mental & physical— of makeup. For clean ingredients, the highest quality, cruelty-free, easy-to-use, purposeful products made to perform.

At Persona Cosmetics, they deeply believe in the power of makeup – the way it transforms who we are, how we feel, how we see ourselves. Whether you’re in the mood for glam or want to wear no makeup at all, Persona Cosmetics wants you to feel like your best self.

Information is from the About Us page on the Persona Cosmetics website.

Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette

The Identity Palette contains 12 beautiful neutral shades. Persona claims that the palette contains buttery mattes and shimmers that are easy-to-use and versatile enough to create any looks, day or night. The palette retails for $42 at the Persona Cosmetics website. If you click this link, you’ll get 15% off of your first order yay!

The palette is travel friendly and cruelty-free.

PERSONA COSMETICS IDENTITY PALETTE Swatches

The palette swatched very easily, the pigmentation is amazing and the shades do indeed feel buttery. I didn’t notice much kickback in the pan. Moreover, when applied to the eyes I didn’t notice any fallout either. None of the shades are patchy. Sometimes with darker shades, you see they’ll end up a little bit patchy but as you can tell, this palette doesn’t have patchy shades at all.

The palette looks like a perfect neutral palette for light to medium skin tones. I’m not sure if this would look good on people with a darker complexion.

The variety of the shades is lovely, only Charming and Goddess look a little similar but Charming is a more cool-toned shade.

PERSONA COSMETICS IDENTITY PALETTE Review

Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette Review

The palette has beautiful, blendable, and pigmented shades. I love the variety of shades in this palette, which makes it easy to create different looks. The matte and shimmer shades both feel buttery soft and don’t have much kickback or fallout which I think is great.

The shimmer shades aren’t super metallic-looking which, in my opinion, is fine for days I just want a little shimmer and not very glam, out there look. The palette is mostly useful for people with light to medium skin tones.

If you’re looking for a neutral palette, this Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette might be the one for you! If you’re planning on shopping this beauty, don’t forget to use this link for 15% off.

  1. I like how this palette is simple and sweet. No overdone packaging here. The palette swatches great, and Chic is totally a shade that I gravitate to. I have not yet heard of Persona cosmetics!

  2. I remember when this palette came out I wanted it so badly but the brand only shipped in the US, I was crushed! It looks so beautiful I love the packaging too

  3. LOL you already know my thoughts on this palette, but I’m glad to see that you are loving it, too!! Totally agree that the shimmer formula is less metallic, but that it so beautiful for soft glam days! Also, totally related to your point about needing to push back this review – I kept doing the same with my Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions & ND Camel Palette reviews lol.

  4. This palette looks amazing and I adore buttery eyeshadows, that’s my fave shadow formula. The colour story is really pretty and looks easy to work with
