I’m a real sucker for pink blushes and I’m pretty sure that the biggest part of my blush collection is pink. All slightly different, of course, lol. Because I’m so obsessed with pink blushes, I know pretty well which formulas are worth trying and which shade you should get for your skin tone. So prepare yourself to fall in love with at least one of the blushes mentioned in this blog post.

Before we dive into the blushes, I wanted to share that even though I will recommend which blush suits which skin tones best, this doesn’t mean that if you don’t have that skin tone you can’t wear it. You can wear whatever you want and whatever shade you like, this post is only a way to guide you if you’re not sure what pink blushes to go for.

What Is The Best Blush For Your Skin?

  • If you have a fair complexion it’s likely that you will have a neutral or pink undertone so cool-toned pinks, peachy pinks, neutral pinks, and true pinks will look best on you.
  • If you have a medium complexion it’s likely that you will have a warmer undertone so rosy pinks, mauve pinks, peachy pinks, or pink blushes with a golden shimmer will look best on you.
  • If you have a dark complexion it’s likely that you will have a warm undertone, meaning anything warm-toned pink will look best on you.

Whether you should go for a warm-toned or cool-toned start with understanding your own undertones. A blush with matching undertones will appear harmonious with your natural complexion, however, the opposite end of the spectrum can provide a subtle pop of color.

My Favorite Blush

I’m the biggest blush hoarder ever and picking a favorite blush is one of the hardest things ever BUT if I really had to pick a favorite, I would go for the Patrick Ta Double Take Créme & Powder Blush in She’s Blushing and the Pat McGrath Divine Powder Blush in Divine Rose. I know that’s two and not one, but those two formulas are both my all-time favorite pink blushes so I just had to mention them both haha.

Alternatives

Most of the blushes I mentioned above have lighter or darker pink shades in their collection, so if you’re not sure if a certain blush would suit you but you’re curious about the formula, you can browse the brand’s site to see if they have another shade that you’ll like more/fits your skin tone. Just to name a few of my alternative favorite shades:

Clean Blushes

If you’re into clean beauty and want to know what brands sell clean, conscious blushes (and which are good obviously) I want to recommend checking out a blog post I wrote about 7 amazing clean makeup brands. I share product recommendations in that post as well and you’ll see similarities as I mentioned quite a few blushes that I mentioned in this post as well.

FAQ

Whether you should go for a warm-toned or cool-toned start with understanding your own undertones. A blush with matching undertones will appear harmonious with your natural complexion, however, the opposite end of the spectrum can provide a subtle pop of color.

  • Darker skin tones tend to have a warm undertone, meaning anything warm-toned pink will look best on you.

Everyone can wear a pink blush! If you’re concerned about picking the ‘wrong’ shade I always recommend picking a pink blush based on your undertone. Do you have a more pink undertone? Go for a cool-toned pink blush. Do you have a yellow undertone? Go for a warm-toned pink blush. If you’re still not really sure, there are also some great more neutral-toned blushes out there too, which will fit a lot of different people.

There’s no right or wrong in my opinion and I also believe you can wear both if you want to. My personal preference is a pink-toned blush but I do own quite a few orange-toned blushes as well. You do you! 🙂

There’s not just one blush that is the best. All pink blushes mentioned in this post are some of the best out there! However, it depends on your skin tone, formula preferences, and finish preferences to pinpoint a favorite blush.

If you have a fair complexion it’s likely that you will have a neutral or pink undertone so cool-toned pinks, peachy pinks, neutral pinks, and true pinks will look best on you. Check out Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable in Nearly Neutral and Pat McGrath Divine Powder Blush in Nymphette, you’ll love these!

The Dior Backstage Universal Blush in Rosy Glow as this will adjust to your skin tone and this is going to be flattering on everyone. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Kylie Cosmetics Winter Kissed is truly a stunning cool-toned blush (and it is Kylie’s favorite blush too!).

MAC Glow Play Cream Blush in the shade Totally Synched or e.l.f. Putty Blush in Bora Bora.
