Eyeliner has been an essential part of my makeup routine, as well as the makeup routine of many others, for years. However, a new trend popped upon TikTok per usual: the Siren Eyes. It’s a smoked-out, elongated, sultry, and sexy eyeliner look that looks amazing, especially on almond eyes.

But as someone with hooded eyelids, I wondered if Siren Eyes on hooded eyelids is possible, so I can imagine you’re wondering the same. On top of the eye shape struggle, you’re probably wondering where to start creating this eye look, but no worries…

In today’s post, I will explain everything about siren eyes, which products to use, my favorite celebrity inspirations, share my favorite visual tutorial, and a step-by-step guided tutorial to recreate the siren eyes look. Are you ready? Let’s dive in!

The Siren Eyes trend conveys a dramatic and mysterious femme look. Thus making a very sexual, appealing, and desirable look. Celebrities like Bella Hadid fabulously pull it off. However, you don’t need to be a professional makeup artist to master it.

In this post, I’ll share a beginner-friendly tutorial on siren eyes in general and for my fellow people with hooded lids. So, be sure to stick to the very end of the article. Let’s start by explaining what siren eyes are.

What Are Siren Eyes?

Siren Eyes

Siren Eyes are a viral trend on TikTok coined by Danielle Marcan. As a beauty influencer, she introduced a new eyeliner tutorial that can give you a mysterious, smokey, and siren look. She called it Siren Eyes, a reference to Greek mythology.

In Greek Mythology, sirens are creatures that can manipulate and lure sailors in with their melodious voices and destroy them. This makes me think about the mermaids in Pirates Of The Caribbean 4, anyone else?

Danielle uploaded the tutorial to her TikTok account after she received many questions about how she does her eyeliner. She shows how she makes her round eyes look more almond-shaped. Later a massive storm audience followed and added their spin on this trend.

This makeup style has been used by many celebrities like Bella Hadid, Halsey, Megan Fox, etc., but they already have the easiest eye shape to work with and/or a makeup artist who knows exactly how to nail this technique. But how about us, the average makeup lovers? No worries, the Siren Eyes aren’t as hard to recreate as it seems!

Why Did Siren Eyes Become A Hot Trend?

This trend has been all around the globe. Since its first TikTok video, millions of creators have posted their versions, which all look stunning and majestic. With that being said, you might be curious why this trend is going viral and why so many people love this trend. I got the answers!

Many Versions

One of the reasons that the siren eyes are so popular is because there are many ways to wear the eye look. You can keep it natural and soft or go all out with a smokey-eye siren version. And even between these two examples, there are many different ways to implement this trend into your routine. Because it is so versatile, many people like to try their take on this eye look!

It Gives Off Sexy Vibes

Due to its more mysterious vibe and the elongated, sultry look, it screams ‘sexiness,’ which is probably why many people love this look, especially celebrities. Who doesn’t want to have a sexy, mysterious makeup look named after the most seductive creatures of the sea?!

It Looks Narrow and Intense

The siren eye trend can change the way your eye shape looks. Instead of big eyes, this trend gives you a more narrow and intense eye look. The smudged side wing also makes your eyes and lashes appear longer.

It’s a Two-in-One Look

The siren eyes trend is created by combining fox and cat-eye liner styles. You would love how the blend of the two gives an ultimate new look that is irresistible.

How To Do Siren Eyes For Hooded Eyes?

Some people are confused about how to pull off this trend with their hooded eyes. Here’s good news for you. Yes, anyone from almond shape eyes to hooded eyes can follow this ultimate trend.

The best thing about the trend is that it helps the liner to create an illusion of elongated eyes that are very flattering. You’ll be able to achieve this trend regardless of your eye shape. This universal eye trend will look good on every single person! Here’s a siren eyes step-by-step tutorial:

How To Do Siren Eyes On Hooded Eyelids
I’ve put together a quick step-by-step guide on how you can create siren eyes for hooded lids.
Step 1: Prime And Prepare
First, start with an eyeshadow primer and apply it to the lids. Then, apply a light-toned shadow all over the lids and toward the temple as a perfect base for your look.
Step 2: Deepen The Crease
After that, use a darker eyeshadow tone, like a medium brown, and apply it in the crease of your hooded eye to deepen the outer corner. Also, apply this same shade to your lower lash line.
Step 3: Line Those Lids
It’s time to pick up an eyeliner pencil and apply it at the end of the top lashes to the middle. It doesn’t have to be a perfect line, as we’ll smudge it later. You can draw a wing with the eyeliner pencil, but grab a liquid liner to draw the line if it’s easier. Make sure to draw the wing outside the crease of the hooded lid.
Step 4: Smudge
Now that you’ve drawn the basics, it’s time to smudge the line and wing you just created. First, smudge the eyelid line with a clean brush and then use an angled brush and a black eyeshadow to blend further and deepen the line. Then do this to the wing, blending it to the outer half of your upper and lower lash line. Make sure that you blend it outwards to create that elongated look.
Step 5: Inner Corner u0022Vu0022
Here comes the best part. Grab your liquid eyeliner with a pointed tip. Then gradually extend the inner corner of your eye. Line it on the outer half of your upper and lower eyelid, creating a sidewards u0022v.u0022
Step 6: Finishing Touches
Now grab your mascara and curl your lashes to get every bit of volume blast. Also, you can use false lashes to add more density to your lashes and an even more intense effect.

Voila! You’ve just completed your siren eyes on hooded eyes look. It might hardly take ten to fifteen minutes. It is beginner-friendly and doesn’t require any expertise to nail the tutorial.

Also, the best part is that you can add your unique vibe to it. For example, try experimenting with a blue liner instead of black to get your desired vibe.

Doe Eyes Vs. Siren Eyes

You may or may not have heard of “Doe Eye” before, another popular makeup trend. If you’re curious to see the differences between the two, please check out the video above, where Kristi explains Doe Eyes vs Siren Eyes perfectly.

The left side (Kristi’s right side) is the innocent look of a doe eyes version that gave her a soft, youthful, big eye and innocent look. On the other side, we see a more narrowed eye that’s elongated and sexy.

It depends on your preferences and eye shape, but either one of the looks has something beneficial that will help you accentuate or create a feature you like or want.

Celebrities That Were Seen Doing The Siren Eyes Trend

The following celebrities have been wearing the siren eyes trend, which looks fantastic, so I wanted to share some of my favorite versions of the trend. Some versions are more subtle, while others are very out there and unique.

Bella Hadid Siren Eyes

She’s been a fashion icon since forever. Bella is often taken as inspiration when it comes to the siren eyes look. She had been casually pulling this look on many events, and she looked flawless!

Rihanna

Our pop queen is everyone’s favorite. Her style is purely iconic and doesn’t fail to impress. Rihanna killed the popular makeup look while pregnant. See how stunning and mesmerizing she looks with siren eyes.

Megan Fox

Her new punk style has been the talk of the town. She is a beauty with her own finesse. She can rock any style but certainly left everyone in awe by appearing with a siren eyes makeup look.

Halsey

The beautiful singer Halsey isn’t afraid to experiment with her makeup. She recently appeared with dramatic siren eyes that prove she can effortlessly pull any style she wants.

Vanessa Hudgens

My High School Musical crush, besides Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, also rocks the siren look with a gorgeously smudged and faded version of the trend. I’m convinced she’s beautiful with every eye look, though.

Kendall Jenner

We know Kendall as natural beauty, but it doesn’t mean that makeup doesn’t look amazing on her. She’s going for a more natural siren eye version which I really love!

Khloé Kardashian

The Kardashians makeup artists are top-notch, which we can often see on the Instagram of Kueen Khloé Kardashian. The look below is one of my favorite looks of her; so sultry!

Maya Henry By Patrick Ta

Even makeup artists are picking up on this trend. If you browse makeup artist Patrick Ta’s Instagram feed, you will see a variety of siren eye looks, and one of my favorites is the look he did on Maya Henry.

Best Products To Create Siren Eyes

An eye pencil like the Makeup By Mario Master Pigment Pro Pencil is a necessary first step to creating that smudged eyeliner look. But don’t forget a good waterproof liquid eyeliner to create a sharp line, especially if you’re going for the sharp-looking “v” in the inner corner.

You also need an eyeshadow palette, preferably with a black shadow to help you smudge and blend the eyeliner into the outer corner of the lid and, if you want to, into the crease. I like to use a neutral-toned eyeshadow palette like the Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette, the Makeup By Mario Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette, or the Natasha Denona Bronze Palette. All of them have a black or deep brown shade in them!

Conclusion

I hope this article helped you understand the basics of the siren eyes trend and how you can embrace siren eyes yourself. You can follow along with the tutorial on siren eyes or the one focusing on hooded lids. In addition, you’ll be able to follow along with the trend and add your uniqueness to it, as options are endless.
