Since it’s officially Summer, it’s time to discuss some Summer Essentials. I’ll be talking about beauty essentials, skincare essentials and my overall must have Summer Essentials.
My favorite season is definitely Summer. I love to sunbathe and go on vacation to a sunny destination. This Summer I’ll be traveling to Turkey and stay there for 2 weeks to fully relax and lay on the beach/at the pool. I’m so excited! There are some products I just can’t miss when it’s Summer and I’m going to share everything I need this season with you today.
The first thing I need in Summer is a good self-tanner. I have a very light skin tone and I like to help my tan a little by self-tanning so I won’t look as pale as Snowwhite. Of course, this isn’t a necessity but a personal preference.
Even though, I usually wear less makeup I like to still use mascara, lipstick or lipgloss and sometimes BB Cream. If I’m going to the beach or the pool, I’ll probably wear some mascara and highlighter but if I’m going out for dinner in the evening, I’ll end up wearing more makeup. I tend to reach for smaller palettes in the Summer since it’s easier to make a look with or take it with you. Moreover, never forget a mattifying powder if you tend to look oily pretty quick. The products I’ll be wearing all Summer long are my Colourpop BFF Mascara, Kylie Cosmetics High Glosses, Bali Body BB Cream and I’ll take my Urban Decay Waterproof Mattifying powder everywhere with me.
One of the most important products in Summer (actually all year round but especially Summer) is sunscreen. Please don’t leave your house without sunscreen. It’s very important to protect your skin against the sun. I usually use factor 30 or 50 multiple times during the day. I really like using the Lancaster sunscreens or the NIVEA ones. If you don’t tan easily and want a little help, or you just want your darkest tan, I would recommend trying out Bali Body’s Tanning Oil.
After a full day in the sun, I always use after sun or body lotion to hydrate my skin. I’ve been using the NIVEA After Sun Hydrate for years now and it’s definitely my fave. Definitely don’t forget to hydrate your skin as well by using a hydrating face creme, such as the Clinique Moisturizing Cream.
Overall Must Haves
I really like to read, especially when it’s Summer. I’ll read a book or magazine when I’m tanning on our balcony or I’m bringing some books and magazines with me to my vacation address. I love some good mental health self-help books, some action/thrillers, and fitness/health magazines.
Another thing I can’t live without is my sunglasses! It’s better to protect your eyes from the sun, but it helps me seeing better since I tend to have a hard time looking around when the sun is shining very bright lol.
Music is another thing I always have around me and in Summer I like to play some Summery music, so I always make a Summer music playlist.
