Tarte Cosmetics isn’t easily accessible for me, it’s not available in the Netherlands (yet?) and Sephora in Europe doesn’t have Tarte. Thankfully their own website does ship to the Netherlands, but you’ll have customs charges. So when I was in NYC I had to buy my first Tarte product ever!
Tarte Cosmetics is a brand which is on my wishlist for a long time. Due to the fact it’s pretty hard to get Tarte products I hadn’t try anything from them yet. Something that’s on my wishlist for so long, is their Tartelette Toasted Palette and I think this was the first thing I searched for in Sephora. But is it as good as I expected it to be? Do I like it? I’m going to tell you everything about this palette today!
Why Tarte and why this palette?
This is something you might’ve been wondering while reading this. I think most of the Youtubers I follow are American Youtubers which is why I got to see Tarte Cosmetics products. My favorite Youtuber Nicol Concilio (check her channel out here!) uses a lot of Tarte products and that made me very curious. Moreover, her review of the Tartelette Toasted palette was very positive as well. So I decided I really had to try this palette!
The Packaging

This is the carton packaging where the palette came in. It looks the same as the palette itself which I think is cute. I love the tone of the packaging. I immediately think about a tiger haha. You can find the ingredients and all other information on the back of the packaging.

Here’s the palette itself. As you can see it’s pretty similar to the carton packaging. The palette itself looks very luxurious, it also feels that way. I love the golden details in combination with the brown and orange colors. It represents the shades in the palette very well. I think they did a really good job with the packaging! Only by the look of it, I would say this is worth the money.

It was pretty hard to capture this palette on pictures without seeing me in the mirror haha. The mirror can’t be pulled down completely but stays half up. I don’t think that’s a problem while using the palette, it’s only not very nice when taking pictures haha. Look at these colors! I love these types of colors, the variety, and the different formulas. And oh my gosh, THE SMELL! This palette smells so delicious! It has a soft sweet scent to it and I love it!! I kinda want to eat this palette for real haha.

Swatches

Wow, look at these pigmented swatches! The left picture is taken with natural light and the right picture is taken with a flashlight. From top to bottom: s’more, sunrise, sunset, crackle, cashmere, warmth, flame, cozy, candle, latte, simmer and fireside.
It was really easy to swatch them, they apply very smooth. I didn’t have any fallout, not on my arm and not on my face. Moreover, I didn’t have kickback in the pan either. None of the shades was patchy while applying it to my arm or my eyes. It’s very pigmented and the colors are very stunning. You can make so much varied looks with this palette. The metallic shades are very pretty, but also the mattes are amazing. I love it!

Final Thoughts
I think this palette is really worth the money. The packaging is very luxurious and the eyeshadow itself performs very well and it’s really pigmented. Also, I don’t think it’s expensive for a 12 pan eyeshadow palette. I know for sure this isn’t my first and last Tarte product! I can’t wait to discover more products from the brand.
Hope to see you next time loves,
xoxo Simone
What I love about Tarte is that it’s high quality, cruelty free and vegan. Now that you’re into the brand, you might want to try their amazing Cheek Stain. I like the colors True Love and Blushing Bride. They would look on you, too, or perhaps a more peachy color. Also, try their Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer. Both are wonderful products!
I also think it’s amazing that Tarte is cruelty free and vegan! Thank you so much for your recommendations, I went straight to their site to check it out and it looks so pretty! Blushing Bride looks amazing and I also really like Risque! The bronzer looks very good as well, the packaging is very luxurious. I like it! Thank you so much, I have some products to add to my wishlist haha 🙂
O wow, I might have to plan a trip to the US or any other country that sales Tarte because I NEED this palette in my life!! It’s absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for fall as well 🙂
It really is a super pretty fall palette! I love the warm tones in it. 🙂 Let’s hope Tarte will be available in the Netherlands soon!
