I don’t like to exclude any skin tones, hair types, skin types, etc. on this blog but since I have fair skin myself, I won’t be able to advise on the best nude lipsticks for dark skin tones. That’s why I focus this blog post on the best nude lipsticks for fair skin because in the past couple of years I have gathered the 5 best ones out there!

I already wrote a blog post about the 5 best bright lipsticks so now it’s time to talk about my favorite nude lipsticks. I’ve tested so many lipsticks and even though every skin tone is a little different and unique, I’ll share the ones that work very well for me. I can’t promise they’ll look good on everyone but I’m pretty sure most of these nudes are very versatile and wearable for a lot of people.

Since I have a nude lipstick obsession, these 5 aren’t my only favorites. I have a ton more but I decided to name 5 favorites from 5 different brands. Would you like to see a post where I include all my favorite nude lipsticks and swatch them all at the same time for comparison? Let me know in the comments if this is something you would like to see!

The 5 Best Nude Lipsticks For Fair Skin

1. Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick In Pillow Talk

I feel like I’m talking about Pillow Talk in almost every blog post now but it’s just one of my favorite nudes. Moreover, it’s a very versatile lipstick and I’m sure a lot can pull this one off. Pillow Talk has a pinkish undertone. Did you know that 1 Pillow Talk Matte Revolution lipstick sold EVERY 2 MINUTES? I think that shows how many people love this lipstick. 2. Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in Kylie

One of my all-time favorites is Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Lip Kit in Kylie. I also really love the Matte Lip Kit in Kylie but the Velvet formula is wearable for the people who don’t really like a matte lip. I got the velvet one during the Birthday Collection in 2019 but it’s available in the normal packaging on their website now. The Kylie Lip Kit has a darker, more brownish lip liner and a pinkish nude. The combination is stunning!

3. Huda Beauty Bullet Lipstick in Prom Night

I have been mentioning Huda Beauty Prom Night a lot on Beautymone too. These lipsticks actually surprised me in a good way and I fell in love with the formula as well as the shade Prom Night. If you want to hear my in-depth thoughts, check out my Huda Beauty Bullet Lipstick Review. After this post, I bought Girls Trip as well and this shade is so stunning too. It’s one of my faves as well!

4. Patrick Ta Lip Créme in She’s Unapologetic

I have to admit that I was scared at first. Peachy shades don’t always look that good on me and can make my teeth look super yellow. However, this créme lipstick from Patrick Ta in combination with the lip liner actually looks very good! It doesn’t make my teeth look yellow and it looks like a true nude. If you want to hear my in-depth thoughts, check out my Patrick Ta Review.

5. Pat McGrath LuxeTrance Lipstick in Realness

Even though Donatella is a beautiful nude shade too, I personally prefer Realness. The slight pinkish undertone looks just a little bit more natural on my lips. The formula is also very nice. Keep in mind that Pat McGrath is expensive so if you would like to purchase a lipstick, I would recommend waiting for a sale. So many more nude lipsticks started to pop up when I was writing this post that I feel like I should do another post with all my favorite nudes and comparisons. I have so much more to show you lol!

I love a good nude lipstick! I have so many I’m not sure what my favorite is. I would have to sit down and really go through everything and think about it. That Patrick Ta one looks like one to add to the wishlist.

These lipsticks are super pretty. I thoroughly agree with you about the Pillow Talk Lipstick, it’s definitely one of my holy grail pink nude lipsticks. I’m also obsessed with the Power Bullet formula from Huda Beauty, the lipsticks are so creamy and glide on like a dream. That Pat McGrath lipstick is gorgeous too!

These are so pretty but maybe a bit too warm for me, I’m on the look for a new favourite since mine is from a brand I don’t think I will support anymore.

I am in my late 50’s and always wanted to wear a nude lip but it seems every one I try looks too pink or peachy and ‘old ladiesh’. My hair is salt-pepper, on the dark side. In the past I have gravitated to a mauvy-kind of lip. I usually make up my eyes with shades of grey. Do you have a recommendation for me? Matte is out-don’t like the feel. Thank you!!

Hi Carol! I mentioned Pillow Talk in this post, which is officially a matte lipstick but I know that Charlotte Tilbury has a Pillow Talk version in the ‘Superstar Lips’ formula, which is a creamy formula. Pillow Talk is a neutral pinkish shade, which isn’t too pink or too peachy and I think it’ll look very flattering! You might also like the Fenty Beauty Slip Shine Sheer Lipstick in the shade Makeout Break, this has also more of a neutral undertone. MAC Honey Love could also be a good nude lip match. I would suggest looking for a lipstick with a neutral undertone. A warm nude shade tends to look too peachy quickly so I would avoid these a bit. What I personally also like to do is mix and match with a lip liner and lipstick. If my lipstick is a bit more peachy, I try to wear a cooler toned lip liner so it neutralizes the peachy tone a bit. This way you can create your own perfect nude lipstick if you’re not able to find a good match in store. I really hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions 🙂
