I already think that the Trendmood Box is something new and iconic in the beauty industry. It’s not the usual subscription box like we’re used to. Moreover, it’s fully packed with beauty products we all love and adore. PLUS there are even products in this box who haven’t launched yet. But is it worth the money?
So let’s start off by introducing Trendmood if you haven’t heard of her before. Trendmood is an Instagram account, run by Sophie, which provides the beauty community information about new product launches, swatches, etc. etc. I believe Sophie never sleeps because she’s pretty much always the first person to announce a new product launch or a sneak peek of a (new) product.
I have been following Trendmood for years because she makes it easy to stay updated about all the different beauty brands and their products. I also love how her husband is also helping her out by showing products or events, he is also known as Mr. Trendmood lol!
Trendmood, Sophie and her husband decide to take it a step further and announced that they were doing a Trendmood box. This is not a subscription box. Each box will be treated as a separate launch. Some months could have 1-2 launches, while others might not have a launch.
Moreover, it’s a who comes first, gets the first box and once it’s sold out there’s no chance of getting it anymore. Once the box sells out, it’s gone! So this means no restocks and just one chance.
Which means stress and anxiety lol. It feels pretty much the same as the first Kylie Cosmetic launches where products sell out within seconds. This also happens with the Trendmood boxes. In the meantime, Trendmood launched 4 normal Trendmood boxes and 1 Take Over box. The normal boxes include 4-5 different products from different brands. The Take Over box includes 4-5 different products from the same brand.
I have been wanting a Trendmood box since the first one got announced. Even though I really liked them all, I was extra excited when I saw the Ole Henriksen Take Over Box. I love Ole Henriksen products and this box was a perfect way to get multiple Ole Henriksen products for a very great price.
So I was fully prepared, full of anxiety and with my credit card beside me waiting for it to drop. I think I’m a little bit more experienced now because of the stressful Kylie Cosmetics sales lol but I still was a bit nervous if I would be able to get a box.
Unfortunately, the Trendmood Box is currently only available within the US. But with my shipping method I explained a while ago, I was able to get it shipped to me! I ordered the box probably within a minute (I’m not even kidding) and it shipped not even 24 hours later. Ready to see which products were in the Trendmood x Ole Henriksen Tak Over Box? Trendmood Box Takeover by Ole Henriksen
Since every Trendmood box includes different products, the price isn’t the same for every box. I got this Trendmood box for $59 but it doesn’t mean that all of them will be this price. However, until now all the boxes have been between $40-$60. The products inside this box are:
- The Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum – $65: a serum targeting all major signs of aging, including dullness, fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and uneven texture.
- The Banana Bright Face Primer – $38: illuminating face primer with banana powder-inspired pigments that deliver instant radiance while improving and extending makeup wear.
- The Banana Bright Eye Crème – $39: targets signs of aging, reducing the look of dark circles while improving concealer application and wear.
- Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner – $29: supercharged with high-potency AHAs to reduce the look of dark spots.
- Cold Plunge Pore Mask – $38: A detoxifying, cooling clay mask that instantly reduces the look of pores, smooths skin texture, and controls oil all day.
If you would purchase these 5 products yourself, instead of the box, it would cost $209. This means that you have a $150 discount. That’s insane.
I think this idea is genius. I appreciate this not being a subscription box because you can pick and choose yourself which box you like and if you think it’s worth purchasing. You won’t end up with a box you won’t like because you could make that decision yourself.
Moreover, I love the discount. I mean, who doesn’t love a discount?! But this box is insane. You get full-size products for a HUGE discount. I have no words, I’m so grateful for Trendmood.
The only con I can think of is it being so limited and sells out so quickly. However, Sophie and her husband take feedback very seriously and you can tell they’re working so hard to improve this. The latest box is still available as I’m writing this post.
Overall, I’m happy to see they take feedback seriously and not as an offend. The first Trendmood box launch was kinda chaotic but customers gave some feedback and they implemented it immediately. I love it when businesses and brands take their customers seriously instead of feeling attacked and do nothing about it.
I would be happy to purchase another box in the future!
