I’ve been an Urban Decay eyeshadow palette lover since their Naked 1 palette. However, I did skip a couple of palettes because I didn’t feel the need to buy them. However, the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette caught my eye immediately. I’m obsessed with a pinkish, burgundy type of colors so this one looked perfect for me!

As always, I love the sleek packaging the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette has. It fits in with all the other palettes and the outside already shows a sneak peek of the inside, which I think is cute. The packaging is very steady which is also a good thing in my opinion.

I’ve been seeing some complaints about the Urban Decay Naked palettes lately. I see people talking about very powdery palettes and not a lot of pigment. I’m not 100% sure if they talk about just one palette or all palettes but I thought, why not go ahead and test out if people’s complaints are true.

In today’s review, I’m showing you the inside of the palette, I’m showing swatches and I’m giving my honest opinion. Let’s dive in!

The Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette comes with a dual-ended brush, just like all the other Urban Decay Naked palettes, and has a huge mirror in it as well. I have to admit that I’m normally not really reaching for the brush inside the palette. It’s not bad, but I prefer my own brushes over this one. However, when you’re taking this palette on a trip you already have a brush with you. I like this idea.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Swatches

Shades top to bottom:
Hot Spot (ivory matte)
Caution (soft neutral beige matte)
Bang Bang (shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle)
Feelz (soft dusty rose matte)
Juicy (soft warm peach)
Turn On (pale metallic rose shimmer)
Ambitious (metallic rose copper)
Bing (deep mauve matte)
Devilish (reddish plum matte)
Young Love (metallic cranberry)
Drunk Dial (deep metallic burgundy)
Privacy (deep brownish-plum matte)

The first three shades are barely showing up because they’re pretty close to my skin tone. The last shade, Privacy, did swatch better than it actually looks in the picture above. I have a mol on my arm and when I swatched over it, it looked patchy so I tried to remove the swatch a bit but it ended up looking almost even more patchy so I decided to keep it this way.

Overall, the palette swatches well. I had to go over some of the shades to make them more visible on my arm. I don’t really think that’s a bad thing since this means the shades in the palette are definitely buildable. You have to keep in mind, that you have to build the color payoff on the eyes as well.

Moreover, the palette is indeed pretty powdery. You might tell by looking at the palette in the background of my swatch photo. There’s some powder all over the palette. However, I didn’t really mention fall out on the face. But I do tap off my brush before I apply the shadows to my eyes.

The palette contains really beautiful shades, mattes, and metallics. As per usual, I don’t feel like the metallics in the Naked palettes are super metallic but I don’t mind that even though I prefer a more metallic vibe.

The palette does blend well and overall I’m satisfied with how it performs. It’s a neutral palette with a cherry vibe, I like it!

The Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette is available on their website and in stores.

  1. I’ve heard my sister talk about this and the colors of this palette is nice. I think people’s opinions can be different on all the palettes, but for me this one, is good.
