As we all know by now, is that I’m a sucker for neutral-toned palettes. I love how this Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette is neutral-toned, but due to the honey inspiration, it has some gorgeous gold tones in it as well.
I didn’t really need another neutral palette, but I just couldn’t pass on this new, gorgeous palette. But is she just a beautiful palette on the outside? Let’s find out together.

Urban Decay Honey Palette Swatches & Review
I fell in love with the color story of the Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette which is why I decided to get the palette, however, I noticed that some of these shadows are very similar. Especially on the eyelids, it’s almost impossible to see a difference in shades. Which is quite a bummer because you’re paying for a 12-pan palette.
Almost all mattes swatched pretty well, except for the last and darkest shade. I also noticed it being hard to blend and patchy-looking on the eyes. Another disappointment because this shade is pretty important to be able to create some depth in your eye look. I barely reach for that shade and if I do, I regret it most of the time.
On top of that, I noticed that the mattes in the palette are pretty pigmented but they’re also quite powdery. This is why I had kickback in the pan and a bit of fallout on the face. The metallics, on the other hand, aren’t pigmented right from the get-go when using a brush, but get some of their pigment back when applied with your finger or a wet brush. Especially the wet brush helped me to make the metallics pop a little, but it did require some work. The shadows, both matte and metallic, do stay on all day though which is very nice.
The palette was okay to work with, I wouldn’t say it was very easy but it wasn’t hard either. Most of the shadows blend pretty well and are quite easy to apply or to build up in pigment. However, I wouldn’t recommend this palette to beginners or to people that want a quick, easy palette. I’m still doubting if I think this palette is worth the $49 or not. It’s a beautiful palette but it does have quite a few cons.

Final Verdict
Overall, I got to say that I’m quite disappointed. I love the color story but the shades are similar, I love the pigment but that comes with powderiness and fallout. I like at least one darker shade but that one was patchy and hard to blend. I’m not saying that this is a bad palette but I do think it could’ve been way better.
