This years holiday location is Side, Turkey. I’ve been there a couple of times before and I love it there! The weather is so good, let’s see extremely hot lol, and it’s the perfect location to totally relax and focus on tanning, reading books, eating and visiting the city. I pack differently for a relaxing vacation than an active vacation, so in today’s blog post, I’m sharing what’s in my travel bag for Turkey 2019.

Last year, I wrote a blog post about what’s in my travel bag for New York City. This was way more of an active vacation. If you’re going on an active vacation, I recommend reading this blog post to see what was in my travel bag last year. If you’re going on a relaxing vacation, this blog post is for you! What’s in my travel bag when I travel to locations such as Turkey?

I’m going to share everything I’m bringing with me in this blog post. Moreover, I’m sharing a freebie with you as well! You can download my Ultimate Travel Checklist for free, so you only have to print it, fill it and you’ll make sure you won’t forget anything.

What’s in my Travel Bag?

What's In My Travel Bag | Turkey 2019 Inspiration

First of all, what bag?

I always travel with a suitcase and a handbag. The suitcase has my clothes, makeup, shoes, etc. In my handbag, I have things like my passport, wallet, but also magazines and my iPod. This year, I’m traveling with a suitcase and a backpack since I don’t want to carry too much weight on my shoulder. I’m also bringing a smaller bag with me, which I can use for the evenings in Turkey.

What do I need to bring with me?

There’s a category of products I just can’t forget and these are on top of my checklist. I think most of these products are very similar for other travelers as well, so you might want to take notes with me!

  • Passport
  • Wallet (with cash, credit card and, some local cash)
  • Mobile phone
  • Chargers
  • Travel documents (such as a visa, boarding tickets, residence confirmation, medical passport/health insurance)
  • Medication (if you need to take medication daily, make sure you have enough with you for the whole holiday + some extra just in case)
  • Contacts/glasses (I wear contacts so I need to bring these with me otherwise I don’t see sh*t lol)
  • Always make sure you have painkillers (such as ibuprofen) as well
  • Photocamera

All of these are in my backpack (expect all my meds and contacts, but I do have at least 3 days of back up in my backpack just in case my suitcase gets lost) since I want those close to me.

An E-reader is so smart/handy for traveling – I need to consider getting one of those or getting a tablet to use for when I travel!

It’s amazing for traveling! You don’t have to carry around heavy books ? and some are waterproof which is a plus if you’ll be around water lol
