Personally, I’m not following the trends all the time but I like to do my research on nail trends so I know which nail colors for winter are trending this season. I have my favorite colors (I just love pink/mauves) but I love to pop on a trending color every now and then. I wear acrylics so I can also ask my nail tech to do some nail art if I want to, one of the things I like most about going to the nail salon! In today’s post, I’ll share some of the trending nail colors this season as well as some cool nail art you can DIY or go to the nail salon.
Mind you: I first wrote this post in 2019 but I’m updating this post every year to fit the trends. So this post is totally up to date!

None of these pictures are mine and I’m not claiming them to be mine. I use Pinterest to browse for inspiration and so this post is solely for giving you inspiration too. In some of the photos, the original artist is tagged so please check them out if you like their work and give them some love.
As you can tell, you can never go wrong with black, grey, and red nail colors for winter. If you want to play it safe then go for one of those colors. Blue and emerald are more popular the last couple of years and you’ll see them this year too. I personally really like the blue with snowflakes kind of designs a lot! We are going to see more neutral-toned nails this winter, but most of them will have a cute design such as leopard prints. I think one of the bigger trends this winter is going to be Astrology inspired nails, which I think is so awesome.
