How To Use 4 MAC Prep and Prime Products To Create A Steady Makeup Base

MAC Prep and Prime Base Products
Prep + Prime Protect Face Lotion SPF 50
- What it is: An antioxidant-enriched primer moisturizer that covers your skin in a luxurious texture while protecting from broad-spectrum UVA/UVB rays with SPF 50.
- What it does: MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect Lotion SPF 50 is an antioxidant-enriched lotion with a luxurious texture that meets all of your needs to protect skin from broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays and help prevent the appearance of dark spots.
- How to use: Apply the SPF primer to the skin over your moisturizer. It should be the last step in your skin care regimen and the first step of your makeup application.
Prep and Prime Skin
- What it is: A lightweight gel lotion primer formulated with special-effect silicones.

How I Apply MAC Prep And Prime Products
I start with the Prep + Prime Protect Face Lotion and apply this to my face and neck. This lotion will properly protect my skin from the sun and also gives my skin a little boost.
Then, I apply the Prep and Prime Skin to the rest of my face as a primer, the perfect base for my makeup.
After that, I go ahead and apply the makeup of the day. This can be a full face (foundation, concealer, setting powder, etc.) or minimal makeup (concealer, blush, brows, and mascara), depending on my mood and how my skin looks.
After that’s finished, I apply the MAC Prep and Prime Lip to moisture my lips before I apply my favorite lipstick.
Now that my makeup is finished, I will set everything in place using the MAC Prep and Prime Fix+ Setting Spray. This ensures I set my makeup in place and stay on all day!
