About The Original: Dior Lip Oil In Rosewood

Let’s dive right into the heart of our topic today: the original Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in Rosewood. This isn’t just your typical lip oil, folks!

It’s a lip balm that also doubles as a glossy lip oil. Now, what does this mean for you? Well, it not only enhances the look of your lips but also deeply protects them while bringing out their natural color.

Imagine having a product that nourishes and revitalizes your lips instantly! That’s precisely what Dior promises with this lip oil infused with cherry oil.

And trust me when I say it delivers on that promise. Its intense care formula, paired with its flattering color finish, gives you an ultra-luminous result.

What sets Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil apart is its non-greasy and non-sticky texture. It pushes shine to new boundaries by creating a smoothing film over your lips, which gives them an almost magnifying mirror-like effect. How cool is that?

Here comes my favorite part about this little gem – it’s multipurpose! You can wear it alone for a subtle glow or use it as a primer under lipstick or even as a top coat for a volumizing shine! The versatility here is simply astounding.

But wait, there’s more magic to be discovered here – thanks to its color reviver technology, Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil reacts directly with your lips’ moisture level to reveal a custom color specifically tailored for you!

Its formula doesn’t just stop at providing instant benefits, either. Saturating the lips with nutrients and revitalizing them day after day are all part of the package, too!

POSITIVES
  • It has a soft, sheer tint to it
  • It has a comfortable, non-sticky formula
  • It is hydrating and lightweight on the lips
  • It has a pretty shiny finish
NEGATIVES
  • It is very expensive
  • It doesn’t stay on long at all

About The Dupe: The Saem Eco Soul Lip Oil In 02 Berry

So, we’re talking dupes today. And let me tell you, The Saem Eco Soul Lip Oil in 02 Berry is an absolute steal when compared to the Dior Lip Oil. It’s just as lush and luxurious but at a fraction of the cost! I mean, who doesn’t love a good bargain?

Now, let’s dive into what makes this lip oil so special. First off, it’s all about hydration – long-lasting hydration that doesn’t leave your lips feeling sticky or greasy. This little beauty creates a strong moisture layer that keeps your pout plump and soft throughout the day.

Here are some key benefits:

  • 95% naturally derived ingredients for nourishing and moisturizing dry lips.
  • Infused with seven kinds of natural protectors to safeguard delicate skin.

I’ve been using it whenever my lips feel dry and chapped (hello, upcoming winter!), and honestly? It works like magic! A small amount goes a long way – just spread it evenly over your lips.

Pro tip: Use it as an overnight lip mask by applying a thick layer before bed. Trust me; you’ll wake up with supple, healthy-looking lips!

Oh, did I mention that there are three different shades available? You can choose from honey (#01), berry (#02), or grapefruit (#03). Each bottle comes in at 6ml, which is perfect for popping into your handbag or keeping on your bedside table.

One thing I really appreciate about The Saem is their commitment to Mother Nature. They show their love for our planet by sourcing most of their ingredients directly from nature itself!

Plus, they offer an extensive range of skincare and makeup lines featuring beauty recipes proven safe and effective over generations from around the world!

Dior Lip Oil In Rosewood VS The Saem Eco Soul Lip Oil In 02 Berry

Here’s a first look at the two products swatched side by side. I have a few things to say based on this – and how they look and feel on the lips! Let’s dive in right away.

Pigmentation

Let me start off by saying I was really hoping that the color match between Dior Rosewood and The Saem Berry would be spot on. But it turned out not to be the case!

To my surprise, The Saem’s Berry had basically no color to it, while it looked pretty vibrant in the tube. I know we’re talking about lip oils, so you can’t expect full pigment – which is fine – but I didn’t expect a basically transparent lip oil either.

Dior Rosewood does provide a soft, sheer pinkish tint to it. It is visible when swatched on my arm, but it isn’t really visible on the lips though. On the lips, both The Saem and Dior look the same: just a high-shine glossy finish.

Formula

Both brands have similar formulas, but from what I’ve experienced – dare I say it? – The Saem seems to hydrate my lips slightly better than Dior does. On top of that, I do think that The Saem has a slightly more high-shine finish compared to Dior.

Either way, both formulas are comfortable on the lips – however, the Dior formula gets absorbed by my lips really quickly. The Saem stays on a little longer. Though, neither product has long-lasting wear due to its hydrating formula being quickly absorbed by my lips.

The formulas are very similar in how they feel, and this makes the Saem a great, affordable Dior Lip Oil dupe! Both of them are lightweight in formula and don’t feel sticky or greasy at all.

Application

Now comes application time! Honestly speaking? There isn’t much difference here either – both come with doe-foot applicators, which make applying them quick as a flash!

If you want to maintain that gorgeous high-shine look, reapplication is needed roughly every half an hour or so. This is somewhat of a disappointment; however, it’s somewhat expected of a lip oil formula.

Value

Finally, we reached the value for money section! We all know Dior is a luxury brand and comes with a price tag of $40. But guess what? The Saem offers their lip oil at just $8.20! Now, that’s what I call value for money.

Based on how similar the formula feels and looks on the lips, The Saem makes a great and really affordable Dior dupe!

Final Thoughts on The Saem Lip Oil as Dior Lip Oil Dupe

Alright, I’ve had my fun with both The Saem and Dior lip oils, and I’m ready to spill the beans. It’s been a wild ride testing this product out as a potential dupe for the coveted Dior lip oil. And you know what? It didn’t disappoint!

There are some differences in color payoff, but this isn’t visible on the lips (unless you’re trying to be Sherlock Holmes and really zoom in on those lips – then maybe🕵🏻‍♀️).

The longevity isn’t the best ever (this is for both products), but it is a lip oil, so it is expected that it doesn’t stay on all day. If you don’t mind reapplying every once in a while, then your good.

I was genuinely impressed by how hydrating The Saem lip oil is. My lips felt moisturized throughout the day, even in dry weather! Plus, it has a gorgeous high-shine finish – just like Dior’s (and maybe even a tad bit better).

But wait, there’s more – did I mention how affordable this product is? You’re getting all these benefits at a fraction of the cost of Dior’s version.

Positives
  • Easy to apply with the applicator
  • It has a gorgeous high-shine finish
  • It is lightweight and comfortable on the lips
  • It has an affordable price tag
Negatives
  • Not a long-wearing formula
  • It doesn’t have any tint to it

So, if you’re asking me if The Saem makes for a great dupe to Dior’s luxurious lip oil, my answer is absolutely yes! If anything, it might just become your new go-to lippie!

Remember, beauty doesn’t have to break your bank account – sometimes, all you need is to find the right dupe!
