When I first heard about the ZIIP Halo, the buzz was impossible to ignore. Celebrities like Margot Robbie and Jennifer Aniston are using the ZIIP! Even my fave – and the queen of sculpting – Kim Kardashian is known to be using the ZIIP.

So, I decided it was time to see if this device lived up to the hype. I tested the ZIIP Halo, an anti-aging facial toning device that promises to refresh and lift your skin right from the comfort of your home.

The idea of using technology to enhance my skincare routine has always intrigued me, especially when it promises results similar to professional treatments. The ZIIP Halo, with its sleek design and the promise of nanocurrent and microcurrent magic, seemed like the perfect candidate for this.

In this article, I’ll share my firsthand experience with the device, diving into its features and effectiveness, and if I would recommend it. Let’s find out if the ZIIP Halo is the missing piece in our search for flawless skin.

The ZIIP Halo: What You’ll Get & The Promises

When you order the ZIIP Halo, you’ll receive the following:

  • ZIIP HALO

ZIIP Halo Review: My Experience

Ease of Use

I’ve gotta say, using the ZIIP Halo turned out to be a breeze. Initially, I was a tad apprehensive, as the design looks so sleek, and you only have one button. I felt like it may have required more effort on my side to get the tool to work.

But, boy, was I wrong. It basically is just a press of the button, and you’re good to go! The ZIIP has a pre-programmed treatment, so when you press the button, it turns on and starts with “The Lift” treatment. Super easy!

The instructions were clear as day – especially with the easy-to-follow app tutorials! – and the tool glides over the face with ease. No complexities, no hiccups.

If you want to try another treatment than “The Lift” you can – just browse the app and pick the treatment you’d like to give a go. It’s connected to your ZIIP, so you don’t have to press any buttons on the device itself. I love how easy this is!

I have to admit that I had to get used to the ZIIP Electric Complex Gel a bit because I didn’t really like the feel of it, but it does work very nicely in combination with the ZIIP. Theoretically, you would be able to use other products with the ZIIP, but they don’t work as well as the conductive gels. These gels have a unique, highly conductive formulation, which allows the Dual Waveforms to pass effectively through the skin. So, it is recommended to use the conductive gels in combination with the ZIIP only.

ZIIP offers other conductive gels besides the Electric Complex Gel. I haven’t tried them, so I can’t say anything about their performance, but they do sound amazing, as these gels have skincare ingredients in them. Golden is ideal for an intensive anti-aging treatment, Silver works as an instant hydration boost, while Crystal is a vegan formulation designed for increased radiance and repair. Worth checking out!

App Integration

Let’s talk about the ZIIP app, a real game-changer for me. With 7 full facials, 6 targeted treatments, and 3 treatment plans ranging from 7-30 days, I was like a kid in a candy store. Each facial treatment spanned between 4 and 12 minutes, and the targeted treatments were even quicker, lasting just 2-3 minutes.

I like how you can easily see how long each treatment takes, so if you’re in a bit of a hurry, you can opt for a short, targeted treatment, whereas you can go at-home spa-day mode with a full facial.

I haven’t tried all the treatments yet as I have been loving “The Lift” and the “Jowls” treatment. I like that they’re short and target the areas that I want to target.

ZIIP Halo Before And After Photos

Now, just a reminder that I’m not the best at taking before and after pictures – I feel like it doesn’t do the results justice enough. However, I tried to take the best possible pictures to show you the results properly.

My before photos showcased a version of me craving some serious TLC – think less puffiness, reduced spot redness, and glowing skin. Sometimes, my skin looks temporarily redder after the treatment, but this goes down within 15 minutes or so – it doesn’t happen every time, as you can see in the pictures above. My skin looks less puffy and very glowy!

I also see a difference in my face when it comes to more definition. This was hard to show properly as the results aren’t super visible, but I do see a difference in my jawline as well as my cheekbones after the treatment. I even see that my eyebrows are slightly more lifted, too! However, I think I need to use the ZIIP consistently for 6 weeks (or longer) to see an even more visible result.

Either way, my skin felt and looked smoother, and the glazing milk penetrated even better; I feel like. Afterward, my skin looked glowy, hydrated, plump, less puffy, and more defined. Another benefit for me personally is that I clench my jaw, so using the ZIIP actually feels like a little massage, and it relaxes the muscles.

Features Of The ZIIP Halo Device

The ZIIP Halo is the only home-use beauty device in the world to use microcurrent and nanocurrent (dual waveform technology). Microcurrent targets the facial muscles to contract & relax, much like a workout, which gives a lifted and tightened appearance. Nanocurrents are electrical wavelengths at a cellular level that sync with electrical impulses to facilitate growth and repair, resulting in long-term benefits.

When I went to look into this even more closely and see if there’s proof of these terms, I came across some interesting facts! Research[1] shows that microcurrent stimulation has several benefits, including promoting wound healing, reducing inflammation, boosting circulation, and improving muscle function. Nanocurrent[2] helps to maintain levels of long-lasting firmness, elasticity, and bounciness in the skin.

Design

The ZIIP Halo design is super simple yet very luxurious. From the get-go, I noticed how the ZIIP Halo stood out with its compact size and lightweight form, making it super easy to use during my skincare routine. The cutest feature has to be the luminous strip that elegantly lights up to indicate it’s in action.

It’s not just about looks, though; the practicality impressed me, too. The on/off button is cleverly placed, saving me from the annoyance of accidentally powering down mid-session.

Battery Life

If you’re like me, you’ve probably had your fair share of devices dying on you at the most inconvenient times. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised by the ZIIP Halo’s battery life. It’s been a relief not to have to constantly worry about recharging.

I got the device out of the box and used it 3-4 times per week for 3 weeks, and I haven’t even charged it yet. I mainly used the 3-4 minute treatments, though, so this may have been different when I used longer treatments. But either way, it goes to show that the battery life is very decent!

Performance

Let’s talk performance because, at the end of the day, that’s what really matters. I’ve always been on the lookout for a non-surgical alternative to facelifts and botox, and the ZIIP Halo has been a game-changer.

The device offers a lot of preloaded treatments targeting everything from lifting and toning to reducing spot redness and improving lymphatic drainage. In just 3 weeks, I’ve seen my skin transform.

My cheekbones and jawline are more defined, and my skin looks plump and glowy. I’m sure with consistent use, I will even see more results!

How To Use the ZIIP Halo Device

First things first, you’ll wanna prep your skin. Make sure it’s clean and dry. Grab the Electric Complex Gel and slather on about 4 to 8 pumps. Yep, that’s quite a lot, haha – this gel is your best bud in ensuring the ZIIP Halo glides like a dream and does its job.

Turning the device on, you’re greeted with the default treatment known as “The Lift.” This treatment targets lifted eyebrows, defined cheekbones, and a sharp jawline. It’s all about those up-and-out motions, sculpting your face to perfection.

But hey, if you’re feeling adventurous, pair your ZIIP Halo with the ZIIP App. It’s like having a facialist in your pocket, guiding you through a variety of treatments tailored to your skin’s desires. Want smoother skin, a more radiant glow, or perhaps target that pesky uneven skin tone? There’s a treatment waiting for you.

I’m consistently amazed at the non-surgical facelift vibes I get post-treatment. It’s like I’ve just walked out of a Botox session, minus the needles. My skin feels tighter and brighter, and let’s not forget how my skin has less redness (after that initial 15 minutes, my skin needs to calm down, haha) that has truly transformed my skincare game.

The beauty of the ZIIP Halo is its simplicity coupled with power. It truly delivers a customizable experience that caters to a lot of skincare needs. Whether it’s your casual Tuesday night routine or prepping for a big event, this device has got your back or, well, face.

Pros And Cons Of The ZIIP Halo

Diving into the ZIIP Halo experience has been nothing short of a revelation for my skincare routine. As I’ve navigated through all of the features, I’ve come across mostly benefits, but I’m going to share a few potential cons that you can come across – depending on your preferences.

Pros Of The ZIIP Halo

The immediate standout feature of the ZIIP Halo has to be its ability to deliver lifted eyebrows, defined cheekbones, and a more defined jawline without ever stepping foot into a dermatologist’s office. The sensation of using it is similar to giving my face a high-tech workout, targeting areas that I’d previously thought would only respond to cosmetic procedures.

Furthermore, the ZIIP Halo isn’t just about lifting and toning. It has proven itself as a multi-tasker, capable of tightening skin, brightening my complexion, and giving me that glowing skin. The texture of my skin feels smoother, and those stubborn, uneven tones are beginning to harmonize with the rest of my face.

Another aspect I can’t help but rave about is its effectiveness in reducing puffiness. Whether it’s from a salty meal the night before or just the usual morning bloat, the ZIIP Halo has worked wonders in improving lymphatic drainage and ensuring less puffiness around my eyes and cheeks. And let’s not forget about the reduced redness – a godsend for anyone with reactive skin like mine.

Cons Of The ZIIP Halo

However, the ZIIP Halo isn’t without potential cons. First and foremost, the price point can be a hurdle. While it’s cheaper than its competitors and arguably a cost-effective alternative to regular professional treatments, dropping $399 – this is without the cost of buying or repurchasing the conductive gels -might not be feasible for everyone. (To reduce this cost, you can use my code SIMONEZIIP for 15% off the ZIIP Halo device and ZIIP Gels! This brings down the price to $339.15)

Another consideration is the commitment it requires. Like any good skincare tool, the results are directly proportional to your consistency. If you’re looking for a miracle cure that works overnight or without regular use, this might not be the gadget for you. I’ve found that to maintain those fabulous results, I need to integrate the device into my routine in a disciplined manner (3-4 times per week).

Lastly, while I personally haven’t experienced this, I’m aware that everyone’s skin reacts differently. While microcurrent and nanocurrent treatments are safe, there’s always a slight risk of irritation – this could also be caused by the device and the gel combination – especially when introducing new technology and products to your skin.
