In today’s post, I’m putting the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette to the test. Keep reading for my in-depth review including swatches.
My real Huda Beauty obsessions started when I bought the Nude Obsessions palettes. I fell in love with them and especially the eyeshadow formula from Huda Beauty. I decided I had to try the bigger palettes too.
I took myself very seriously because when Black Friday sales started, I immediately bought three Huda Beauty Palettes lol. I held back at buying Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde because it wasn’t discounted. I don’t know when or how it happened but all of a sudden I got a discount code from Sephora and immediately bought this palette. In a small period of time, I now own all the Huda Beauty bigger eyeshadow palettes lol.
The Huda Beauty palettes normally retail for $65 but the Mercury Retrograde palette retails for $67. I don’t know why this palette is slightly more expensive though. I think the palettes are pricey and that’s why I decided to buy them when they got on sale.

Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette Swatches
The Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette swatched like a dream. I did expect this though since I really love the formula of the shadows. The formula is slightly powdery but very pigmented.
The only shades that disappointed me a bit are Ultraviolet and Mercury since they weren’t as pigmented and metallic as I expected them to be. However, I still think the colors are pretty. Especially the swift in Mercury is in my opinion very beautiful.
Vortex is the only shade that swatched slightly patchy but I haven’t noticed this when I applied the shade into my eyes.
Off Balance and Crash are both my favorite matte shades in this palette. Cosmic, Nebula and Gold Glitch are my favorite metallic shades in this palette.
The color story of the palette is a little bit all over the place when you first look at the swatches, but the colors work together very well. Moreover, pastel colors are in this Spring so this palette fits the trends perfectly.
I love how easily blendable the palette is on the eyes and also how versatile the colors are. There are so many different looks you can create with this palette.
Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette Review
Overall I really like the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette. It’s not a typical palette I buy a lot so I love this addition to my collection. It adds some color to my collection as well as my makeup looks.
The formula is amazing and definitely one of my favorites, the shades blend easily, are very pigmented and the overall quality is very good.
