Kylie Cosmetics: The Kris Collection
Kylie Jenner decided to make a Mothers day collection with her mom Kris Jenner and I was super excited about this! Kris announced her collection by hacking the Kylie Cosmetics social media pages and called it Kris Cosmetics for a while. So hilarious and well thought! Let’s go into further details about this collection.
I really loved the way how they announced the collection. It definitely suits Kris super well! Kris is, in my opinion, a real boss. She’s the manager of all her kids, looks always flawless, is super smart and funny. I really love her! I wished for a Kylie and Kris collaboration for a long time so of course, I was super excited. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a full Kylie Cosmetics collection because they’re always products that don’t fit my skin tone or colors that I don’t really wear. But this collection looked perfect for me and I didn’t own a cool toned palette soooo I bought the whole collection!
I’ve never been this scared in my whole life while ordering a collection, because I decided to send it to my hotel in NYC so I wouldn’t have a customs charge. It was kinda tricky because it had to get delivered in time. But thankfully everything went well! 🙂
I was doubting if I should review this collection because it’s from May and I didn’t have the time to review it before and the collection was fully sold out. But thank god Kylie did a restock last week so if you want this collection: it’s possible!
This collection contains an eyeshadow palette, a lipstick and matching lipliner, a face palette and a mini lipstick set. The packaging is AMAZING! I do think this is one of my favorite packaging ever! It’s so funny and 100% Kris, I love it! I love how they’ve changed ‘Kylie Cosmetics’ into ‘Kris Cosmetics’ on the packaging as well, Kylie never did this before with a collaboration so I think the idea is awesome.
The first product I’ll be reviewing is the Kris Face Palette and here’s a closer look. I love how the printed Kris’s face all over the carton box where the palette comes in. The palette itself is white with black glittery letters and says ‘You’re doing amazing sweetie!!’ which quotes Kris and it’s a well-known meme. I think it’s really funny!
Here’s the palette inside and outside. It has the names on the back but also in the palette. These names are so so so funny and everyone who has watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians definitely recognizes these quotes. Top left shade is called ‘It’s Snowing Pussy Willows’ and the top right shade is called ‘Money Doesn’t Grow On Trees.’ Both these shades are highlighters and super pretty colors. The bottom left shade is called ‘Your Sisters Going To Jail’ (this one is my favorite name lol!) and the bottom right shade is called ‘I Raised You On Mac n Cheese.’ These shades are blushes, the left one is matte and the right one has a little sparkle in there.
Left picture is with natural light and the right picture is with a flashlight. Top to bottom: ‘It’s Snowing Pussy Willows’, ‘Money Doesn’t Grow On Trees’, ‘Your Sisters Going To Jail’ and ‘I Raised You On Mac n Cheese.’ ‘It’s Snowing Pussy Willows’ is a soft pink champagne. ‘Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees’ is a soft warm peach. ‘Your Sister’s Going to Jail’ is a soft nectarine. ‘I Raised You On Mac N’ Cheese’ is a bright peach.
I love this palette! The highlighters are super pigmented and really smooth. It’s not the same formula as the Wet Set, but I feel like the pigment is the same. It really gives a super pretty glow. The blush shade ‘Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees’ is buildable. When I first applied it, it was pretty sheer but you can build this up to a more pigmented blush. I don’t mind that, because very pigmented blushes make me look like a clown and I like to build my blush to the color payoff I like. The blush shade ‘I Raised You On Mac N’ Cheese’ is amazing. It’s definitely not too glittery on the cheeks and just gives a healthy glow, so pretty! I like to mix both blush shades.
Next up is the ‘Give Me A Kiss’ lipstick and lip liner. They’re both the same color and I love how this matches. The packaging is, again, so funny! I love the middle fingers on the actual lipstick tube and ‘Kris Jenner’ on the lipliner.
It’s a créme lipstick and that’s why you can spot a little shine. I like that because it’s super moisturizing, creamy and feels good on the lips. Not drying at all and super pigmented. Both the colors are a warm rustic rose, very pretty.
A cool-toned eyeshadow palette with 12 colors in it, I’m here for this. The packaging is sleek black with of course Kris’s face on it and the shade names on the back. Again, I love the shade names!
The palette doesn’t include a mirror which is a little disappointing but other sides, I like the quote ‘I have one word for tonight… vodka’ which matches the collection pretty well so that makes up for the mirror a little bit. The color scheme is stunning! The palette has some matte shades, some metallics, and satin shades as well. It’s possible to make a lot of looks with this palette!
This is the first row of the palette, left picture with natural light and right picture with a flashlight. Top to bottom: I Love Myself, Gorgeous, It’s An Emergency and Very Nice. The shadows performed really well and I love the shades! It’s An Emergency looks more grey on my arm than in the palette but I still think it’s a nice shade.
This is the second row of the palette, left picture with natural light and right picture with a flashlight. Top to bottom: Haters, Vodka Tonic, Paybacks A Bitch, Impressed. This is my favorite row! I’m in love with these colors and again they perform really well and I like how pigmented they are. They apply smoothly.
The third and last row of the palette left picture with natural light and right picture with a flashlight. Top to bottom: 10%, I’m Watching You, Talent, Does It Come In Black. I had a little bit more trouble with swatching this row. I applied the top 2 shades twice (that’s why it looks a little bit fucked up I’m sorry!) and the black color didn’t really go well at all. It looks a little patchy on the skin and is my least favorite shadow of the palette. The top two shades a really pretty to make a smokey eye and I don’t really mind I had to go in twice to get this pigment. The third shade performed just like the first and second row.
Last but definitely not least, the Momager Lip Kollection. This set contains 8 mini lipsticks with 1 matte shade, 4 velvets, and 3 glosses. I like the variety! I love the packaging as well, so sleek. You can see the color peek through the logo ‘Kris Jenner’ which is nice. From left to right: That’s Wild (true red), Boss (soft cherry), Middle Finger (tangerine red), Overwhelmed (deepened cool rosewood), Too Blessed (warm pink rose), This is Everything (soft warm peach), Driving Me Crazy (creamy pink), Really??? (creamy beige nude).
Again: the left picture with natural light and the right picture with a flashlight. The colors are swatched from left to right, so the shade names are already stated above the pictures. I ruined the shade Middle Finger while swatching, I’m so sorry! It’s super hot in the Netherlands and that didn’t make swatching easy haha. The last 4 shades are my favorite shades. I don’t often wear red lipsticks but I wanted to try it out and that’s super nice about mini’s because I didn’t have to buy a full-size version to try them out. Boss (the second shade) is a matte one and I love this true red! The top one, the third shade, the 4th shade and the 5th shade are velvets which is my favorite Kylie formula! The colors are really pretty. The bright orange color is out of my comfort zone, but I like to play around with it! The bottom three shades are glosses and I love them so much! I think these glosses are my favorite from all the 8 shades. The look stunning and are super pigmented and not sticky at all. I love Kylie’s glosses and I really hope she makes these glosses into full-size versions!

I really like this collection! The packaging is so awesome and I love using these products. I like the cool-toned eyeshadow palette, even though I’m not gonna use the black shade. The pigment of the lipset and the lipstick are amazing and I would really recommend these. The Face palette is my favorite and I love using it every day, it’s really worth the money.
Hope to see you next time loves,
