Gucci Perfume Gucci Bloom Is Like A Field Full Of Flowers
Perfume is part of my daily routine. It doesnโt matter if I go outside of the house, stay home to work, or if I am relaxing at home. I like to switch it up occasionally, but there is one specific perfume I always go back toโฆ, and it’s the Gucci Perfume Gucci Bloom. Itโs been through some wild rides with me!
- The scent lasts for a while but softens a lot mid-day
- A 50 ML goes a long way
- You can buy different sizes of the perfume
- High-quality packaging and design
- It might very expensive for some
- It is not cruelty-free nor vegan
- The longevity could be better for perfume at this price point
Am I the only one that immediately goes to the perfumes after I have been through security at an airport? I usually don’t buy anything, but it gives me an excuse to sniff all the different scents and decide which one goes on my wishlist next. Thatโs actually how I came across Gucci Bloom for the first time!
What Is The Gucci Perfume Gucci Bloom
As Gucci explains Gucci Bloom: “A scent designed to celebrate women’s authenticity, vitality, and diversityโflourishing in a natural, expressive and individual way. Bloom is created to unfold like its name, capturing the rich scent of a thriving garden filled with an abundance of flowers. The scent is presented in a lacquered bottle, reminiscent of porcelain, in a vintage powder pink shade with a Gucci label appliquรฉ.”
The Gucci Perfume Gucci Bloom is made of a mix between tuberose and jasmine combined with a unique flower called Rangoon Creeper. This flower starts blooming when itโs white, then slowly turns pink until it darkens to a red color. The natural tuberose is harvested from India, and the jasmine ensures youโre not overflowing with sweetness.
The Gucci Bloom Perfume belongs to the Florals fragrance family. Here’s a closer look at the notes:
- Top: Orange and Green Nuts
- Heart: Tuberose (Night Hyacinth), Arabic Jasmine (Sambac), and Honeysuckle
- Base: Orris Root (Iris Germanica), Sandalwood, and Vanilla
Best Suited For
The Gucci Perfume Gucci Bloom is best suited for people that love a floral fragrance. If you like a heavier & longer-wearing fragrance, opt for the Eau de Parfum. Opt for the Eau de Toilette if you prefer a less longer-wearing perfume. If you’re unsure what best suits you, it might be wise to learn more about the different types of perfume and their intensity.
How To Use
Spritz it onto your neck/decollete and/or in your hair. If you want it to be less present, spritz it in your scarf or on your wrists.
Things To Note
Gucci is not a cruelty-free brand. They may test on animals through their suppliers or a third party. Moreover, Gucci is owned by Coty, a company that tests on animals.
Where To Buy
Gucci Bloom is available in three sizes, from 30 ML to 50 ML until 100 ML. I have been using the 50 ML for almost a year, and it is still not empty. The price starts at around $78 and ends at around $144 for the biggest bottle. A Gucci Bloom Roller Ball is also available at Sephora; this one is just $35 and might be perfect if you’re on a budget.
You can purchase Gucci at their website gucci.com, Nordstrom, Selfridges, Sephora, and Douglas.
Gucci Perfume Gucci Bloom Review
I donโt particularly love very sweet perfumes. To be honest, it sometimes makes me feel a little bit nauseous. The Gucci perfume Bloom perfectly balances the sweetness of flowers and fresh softness. It freshens the hot summer days and warms up during the cold, gloomy nights. Gucci said it is supposed to smell like a field of flowers ready to bloom, and I fully agree with that statement.
Packaging
The feminine scent is displayed through the blush pink packaging of the lacquered bottle. Thanks to this light color and white, it also has a minimalistic look. In addition, this perfume is available in another packaging where the white part of the bottle is also covered in flowers.
This is the packaging of the original Bloom – Gucci has created new perfumes or chapters, as they call them, as part of the Bloom perfume. You will recognize these by the bright colored packaging like bright orange or red!
Type Of Scent
I would describe the Gucci perfume Bloom as the perfect spring and summer scent. As it does represent a flower thatโs ready to bloom: springtime would be the time to start wearing this lovely perfume. The freshness in the perfume makes it a great scent for the summertime when the temperatures are rising. It reminds me of a sunny afternoon in Paris when the streets smell of the flowers being sold at a corner shop.
However, it’s suitable for other seasons too. The warm side of this scent makes it a cozy fall perfume that fits in perfectly with lighted candles at night and romantic rainy walks with a hint of the long summer nights we just left behind.
The only season Iโm unsure if it fits is the winter season. We all need a bit of love during the dark winter months, and I feel a warmer scent would be more suitable for this one.
Intensity
It is a heavier scent (even though it fades during the day), so if you are looking for a subtle perfume: this may not be the best choice. If you did fall in love with the scent just like I did (and I am not always a fan of the heavy scents), it helps to spray it onto your hair or your scarf. The scent will spread with the wind and wonโt be so heavy on you.
Alternatives
Final Verdict
It is not a surprise that I like the Gucci perfume Bloom and that itโs one of my favorite ones. It does not beat my absolute favorite, Giorgio Armani Si and Lancome La Vie Est Belle, but it holds an excellent third place. I advise buying the Eau de Parfum version to ensure the scent doesnโt fade quickly. That being said, I would have liked it if the scent had stayed on for longer. Especially for the high price of this product.

I love the sound of the scent; it seems like something I would wear but I am sad to see that it’s not vegan or cruelty-free as these are two things I specifically look for (I really appreciate that you mention this as it is good to have this kind of information). Great review!
I adore this fragrance and use it quite often, it smells flowery and powdery at the same time! <3
