Overview Of Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment

The rhode peptide lip treatment is a restorative lip treatment for naturally plump, pillowy-soft lips — day or night. This dreamy formula leaves lips looking glossy and works hard to protect and nourish dry skin from within.

It feels like a thick glaze that glides on smoothly and is fragrance-free (unless you buy watermelon slice or salted caramel, which do have slight scents) as well as cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, and dermatologist-tested + developed. It’s available in 3 flavors: unscented, watermelon slice, and salted caramel.

About The Brand

Rhode is a line of curated skincare essentials. Formulated for various skin types and needs with high-performance ingredients, it’s a daily routine that nourishes your skin barrier over time. So it was important for rhode to build a value-driven business.

At rhode, they believe in Simplicity. Affordability. Authenticity. Quality. Transparency. Every rhode product is made from purposeful, clean, high-performance ingredients at efficacious levels. Suitable for all skin types. Non-comedogenic. Non-irritating. Non-sensitizing.

How To Use The Lip Treatment

Apply a nice layer to the lips, day or night. For a plumping lip mask, apply a thick layer and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Wipe off any excess before applying lipstick or lip liners. You can also use it on top of lip liners or lipsticks.

Things To Consider

All rhode products are vegan, cruelty-free, and certified by Leaping Bunny & PETA. On top of that, rhode is fragrance-free and is considered a clean beauty brand.

Rhode products are formulated with high global standards. Though they are direct-to-consumer, the ingredient lists align with the clean standards specified by third-party retailers such as Sephora and ULTA.

Review Of The Rhode Lip Treatment

When I first came across Rhode Lip Treatment, I was intrigued by its claims of intense hydration and long-lasting moisture. I had previously tried numerous lip balms and oils, but only a few come close to what I expect in a lip balm.

Upon receiving my rhode lip treatment, I was immediately drawn to its sleek grey, minimalist packaging. The product is housed in a small tub, making it easy to apply with either my fingers or right from the tube. Its compact size fits perfectly in my makeup bag, allowing me to take it anywhere I go.

Some features that make Rhode Lip Treatment stand out:

  • All-natural ingredients like shea butter, babassu, and cupuacu for intense hydration.
  • Long-lasting moisture to keep lips feeling smooth all day.
  • Cruelty-free and environmentally friendly.

Rhode lip treatment is available in three scents, one of which is unscented, catering to all preferences:

  • Unscented: is fragrance-free, perfect for sensitive lips
  • Salted Caramel: this does contain fragrance, but it isn’t overwhelming and smells so yummy
  • Watermelon: also contains fragrance, but isn’t overwhelming and very yummy too

P.S. My fave is the salter caramel one – I can’t get over the smell!

Let’s dive a little deeper into the formula, application, longevity, and value for the price of the lip treatment.

Formula

What truly sets the rhode lip treatment apart is its smooth, non-sticky texture. The formula glides effortlessly onto your lips, imparting a gorgeous shine that never feels sticky or tacky. It’s an absolute game-changer for those who can’t stand the feeling of a heavy lip product.

The formula is a little on the thicker side, but as I said, it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips at all. It’s very comfortable and pleasant!

I noticed a significant difference in the texture and feel of my lips after just a few days of using rhode lip treatment. With its nourishing, all-natural ingredients, I could feel my lips becoming smoother and more hydrated, making lips lines slightly disappear and plump my lips.

Application

Due to its applicator, it’s super easy to use the lip treatment directly on the lips. However, applying it to your finger first and then to the lips is also effortless. The tube is convenient to drop in your bag and take it everwhere with you – which I actually do!

My favorite way to use the rhode peptide lip treatment is as a nighttime lip balm/mask. This works amazing if you have dry lips – you wake up with hydrated, smooth lips every time. It also helps me prevent dry lips during the wintertime.

Longevity

This peptide lip treatment stays on quite long for a lip balm type of product! This actually surprised me, as most lip balms are gone pretty quickly. Because of this, it also performs well as a lip gloss – you’re sure to have a couple of hours of shine on your lips!

I usually put it on before I go to bed, and most of the time, when I wake up, I still feel a little bit of the lip treatment on my lips. Most of it is absorbed, of course, but I can feel just a tad of product left. My lips always feel incredibly smooth.

Value

Compared to other brands, the rhode peptide lip treatment is actually affordably priced, especially if you realize how high-quality and amazing this product is.

On top of that, the 10 ml./0.3 fl. oz last a seriously long time! Applying a normal, generous amount every night will last you for at least 6 months, if not longer!

Oh, and I also love that there’s an unscented version for the people who don’t like fragrance or are allergic to fragrance! But if you love a scent, the watermelon and salted caramel scents are to die for.

Who Should Buy The Rhode Lip Treatment

Everyone. I’m sure everyone is going to love this lip treatment. Obviously, it’s extra pleasantly for people with dry lips, but it’ll work for each and everyone’s lips. It gives the lips extra love and hydration, which is what we all want: happy, plump lips!

Do I Recommend The Rhode Lip Treatment

100% yes! If you haven’t tried them yet, please make sure you do them ASAP. It’s seriously one of the best products on the market currently!

Alternatives To The Lip Treatment

Even though the rhode lip treatment is a great option, it is not the only lip balm/treatment on the market. Currently, rhode isn’t available worldwide yet, so if you’re looking for something similar in the meantime, I think the following products have comparable features, high quality, and finish to rhode.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm

The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balms are an amazing alternative! They leave a gloss-like finish which is super pretty, and compared to the Rhode lip treatment, the Summer Friday’s Lip Balms have a very thin formula.

The Summer Fridays Lip Balms also have a very pleasant formula, which is also comfortable and lightweight. They’re more expensive than rhode but definitely worth it.

Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer

Another lip treatment with an amazing, nourishing formula is the Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer. The formula is, just like rhode, a little on the thicker side. However, it feels lightweight, non-sticky, and comfortable.

It leaves the lips feeling nourished and hydrated. I also think it leaves a stunning high-shine finish, which looks amazing on top of a lip liner or lipstick.

Final Thoughts

After testing out various lip treatment products, Rhode Lip Treatment has become my go-to favorite. Here’s why:

  • Moisturizing Formula: I’ve noticed that my lips feel extra hydrated and soft after using this lip treatment. It maintains moisture levels throughout the day, eliminating the need for constant reapplication.
  • Soothing Ingredients: This product contains natural ingredients, like shea butter and chamomile, which contribute to its soothing and calming effect. No more inflammation, redness, or flaky lips!
  • Suitable for Sensitive Skin: As someone with sensitive skin, I appreciate that this product is free from harsh chemicals, fragrances, and artificial colors. It doesn’t aggravate my skin or cause any adverse reactions.
  • Long-lasting Effects: I’ve noticed that since I started using rhode lip treatment, my lips are healthier and better conditioned in the long run. It’s not just a temporary fix, but it has improved the overall condition of my lips.
Positives
  • The formula is very hydrating and nourishing
  • It is a pretty long-wearing lip product
  • Leaves the lips super smooth and healthy
  • Reduces the lip lines

Negatives

At this point, I can confidently say that rhode lip treatment has outperformed other lip treatments I’ve tried.
